Well, dear, that's a discussion that hardly originated with him.
Where's Jerby?
If I were you, I'd go with the Bi imagery - it could only make for more beautiful dreams
Speaking of which, go to sleep! (I've been saying that a LOT this evening - what does that say about our lovely BWW denizens?)
It could mean that you think their loveliness is lacking and requires immediate beauty sleep.
Don't mind me, I was just awoken by drunken neighbors.
I know, I know. There's still so much excitement; two new video clips just went up.

Skittles - that REALLY made me laugh - thanks!
Em - you have NO shame whatsover. No wonder I like you . . .
Thank you. :)
No self-discipline, either!
My excuse lately has consisted of "but I'm just so in love with that show..." -- and I'll use it to get away with as much as possible.
Heh, DG, glad I'm still capable of making people laugh (intentionally) at this hour.
Em, as long as you're not using that excuse to justify anything illegal. Okay, well, at least not a felony.
Goodnight, you two. I have no doubt the chatter will pick up in the morning.

I assumed he was bi by the article, but I did notice his lack of labeling, and I respect that, it's not like I'm gonna go up to him and be like "Welcome to the bisexual club Raul! Here, have a cupcake!"
I am also shocked that it wasn't planned, not that that changes my mind about anything, but I'm sure if he needed to say it so badly that it just came out (no pun intended), then I'm very happy for him. It must be quite a relief to have that all out in the open, if not terrifying (probably both).
So, 16 days until I leave this hell hole (Ohio) and get to see Company! Oh, and for my sanity's sake, did anyone else watch the video clip from the show 5 times in a row? I'm not alone in my love am I?
Well, I hope that no matter what happened that's being kept under wraps, he feels a weight off his shoulders about it.
I love the clips, I don't love the dizzying and unflattering angles. :P

It's going to be sad when all the hype/press dies down. Videos and pictures are so fun, especially when they come in one after another.
I know, it's kind of sad that we're appraoching the end of all the arrival excitement.
did they post their closing notice yet?
Do you want me to come after you with something sharp?
So, this is now the official raul esparza's legs thread? Interesting...

Ahaha, I just noticed that! I think a lot of us originally read the thread title as "The Official Raul E. Esparza 'Spread the Legs' Thread" in the beginning. But that's just where out minds like to go
.
Michael Musto wrote this and it cracked me up:
The boldest revival is Company, which has the openly-something RAÚL ESPARZA as a closeting-something bachelor avoiding commitment while his friends warmly embrace all sorts of gimmicks. You know—they're all onstage for the entire show, they dabble in instruments, they never touch, they wear black (especially the bride), and they amble around like warring pieces on a chess board. And despite a couple of drawbacks, I ****ing worshipped it! In fact, I want to marry this bravely confident production and have its African babies! For the ads: "Company is so good it could turn me straight. Except then I wouldn't like Broadway musicals like Company."

... we did?
Heh. I didn't.
It's weird, with that video now. Apparently this was... not a conscious thing. I find myself wondering if it's still okay for me to think he was really brave. I mean, even being able to talk about it surely took a lot.

I remember some people talking about it a while back. Maybe it was just me and them, heh, oh well.
.
I agree, Em. I mean, I can't help but think that he was definitely planning to mention it more directly than he has in the past (i.e. Broadway.com interview)...otherwise, wouldn't he have been on his guard not to have said anything about it? So I think that it's brave in that he was willing to address it, even if he didn't think that that would become THE story.
papa just changed it 5 posts ago, so if you were reading it like that previously, it was on your own.
I like how none of us have changed it back yet, however.
I sort of want to believe that he's sorry what he said hurt so many more people than he might have expected, but even if he DID get hell for it from like, his mother or something, he doesn't regret it altogether because of that. I hope that even in the face of the backlash, what he did does bring him some good -- and that he knows it will.
Wait did it say spread before? I definitely missed that, even after reading the title several times.
Like I told my editor, I don't do titles.
