Posted: 2/23/07 at 7:18pmI love noticing things like that. It may be geeky, but hey - at least we aren't calling them irony.

You're right. It did. It should've happened the first time I saw Company.
But it was inevitable. Resistance is futile.

Posted: 2/24/07 at 1:41pmThere's a really funny Company ad in this weekend's Times. It's the normal one, just... rearranged. They've superimposed Bobby into Jenny's arms where David usually is, and moved some of them around into a cluster. I just find it funny that the characters are like paper dolls or something, and superimposed at will.

Posted: 2/24/07 at 3:12pmYeah, I cut that one out of last weekend's paper just because it looked so odd. I saw Jenny wrapped around Bobby and was like, "hey, that doesn't happen - does it?" If we're thinking about the same ad, I also thought it was funny how they put Marta's legs randomly coming down from the top.

I almost took that one. But then I decided I like mine too much.

... I've never really noticed the youthful innocence part. Even when he seems all innocent, you can tell there's an inner... brooding of some sort, I think.
That's my deep thought for the night.

Nah, not necessarily youthful.
But yeah, I agree with the rest of what you said. It's such a weird pairing. And again, thus the appeal.
He was such a freaking doll at the CD signing. He's always nice, but I was almost speechless at first... and not in the "I'm so shy I can't talk to you way." I expected the highest degree of awkwardness, but my reaction was more like "... say what?"

Best picture ever.
Well, maybe not, but it certainly called for the hyperbole.
