For those of us who didn't get to see Raul in Spelling Bee, you might want to visit a site that can't be named...
Don't normally read the thread but I had to say:
I saw Raul in Company again tonight,
I didn't think it was possible to be more effective on "Being Alive" than the first time I saw the show. He proved me wrong.
It was a phenomenal performance throughout, and that last moment was unbelievable.
Yay, Penguin!
I miss Company. I wanna go back.
Good to hear, penguin! Out of curiosity, did your overall opinion of the show change? I remember that you had some problems with it initially.
Although such sentiments may be getting trite at this point, I just have to mention how wonderful Company was. And how fabulous Raul was.

He is just the bomb - putting it in 90s terms.
and let's not forgot how hysterical he was in Chess - still one of my favorites :o)
I swear he was taller when I met him after TTB. Or maybe I actually grew. But hey, it's the presence that counts.

Hey everyone! I don't really post much anymore, but I used to visit this thread (or at least the first part) a lot. Anway... I saw Company last night, and it was one of the most amazing theatrical experiences I've ever had. I was considering posting a review on the main board, but decided against it, since there seem to be so many. So just thought I'd share... I was expecting to like the show, but I was completely blown away. And Raúl was sooo nice at the stage door. Okay, I'm done. Yay Company!

is anyone going to this?
I would so be there if I lived in NYC. As a side note, it's cool that Pamela Myers is one of the guests.
I was planning on going when it was first announced -- before Raúl signed on -- because I think Seth is one of the funniest people ever, but I promised to be somewhere else that night and I can't really back out.
SO curious to hear Raul sing Dead Kennedys' songs...

I honestly thought that was real for about the first half of the article. At first I was like "no, Raúl, not a jukebox musical!" and I was sad that La Jolla is far away, but I was really excited that he and Julia would be on stage together. Then I looked at the dates and I was like "so they must know when Company's gonna close..." and then scrolled down to see what was revealed.

by the time I got to the penis line, I was like "huh, what?....ohhhhhh!"
I like the quote about the Stephen Sondheim junk tho, hehe
I totally almost believed the Dakota Fanning one! Then I remembered...
Honestly, I'd SO pay to hear Raul sing Dead Kennedys songs.
LOL Oh my God...I thought it was real at first too. Wow haha
Me too! I was like "Wait...WHAT? Seriously??", and then it dawned on me.
Come on, who doesn't want to hear Raul sing "Too Drunk To F*ck"?
*does not raise hand*
I should probably familiarize myself with this song.
Oooo, I would so go to the Seth's thing. Not just for Raul, but the other performers and because it sounds hilarious. Bleh.
I saw the April Fool's title, but didn't read the article at first. There have been weirder shows on Broadway.

Wow, I actually read that article and believed it! Haha..I was thinking, WHAT? SINCE WHEN DOES RAUL THINK SONDHEIM IS JUNK?
I had a real "what the hell?!" moment with that article. At least I found the fine print before things went too far.
All right, Raul does have his own thread, doesn't he?
For Em (and everyone, 'cause who doesn't appreciate the lemons?):
