Bobby rarely doesn't look sad, though.
Pooooor baby.
And, we have arrived safetly on the next page.
I suppose I should go to sleep... you know, being that my alarm goes off in six hours and all. I am so PAST tired.
This has been fun. I miss this thread in its sillier moments!
Mano's doing that benefit tonight also, heh. Even if I had the cash to spare, it's Passover, but it sounds really cool.
I love Raul. He's the greatest! :)
LOL I just finished reading through last night's conversation...that's some pretty creepily funny stuff.
They auctioned the kazoo for BC/EFA. Haha.
Okay I just wanna say like the rest of you I totally dig Raul. I saw him in Tick Tick Boom..., Rocky Horror, Cabaret (my first time meeting him) and Company. I feel like I've seen this dude grown from off-b'way and beyond to bonafide broadway star.
So anyhoo, I saw him in Company last Wed. night. Freaking fantastic he had me crying at the end. Who can't relate to that show I ask you. So I was getting student rush tickets and while on line, I took out my pencil and sketchbook and started drawing the photo of raul from the times article. I use to be a caricature artist. So it came out pretty good. I was told by the girl behind me to send it backstage. However, I personally wanted to make sure he got it himself. So when I met him after the show, I gave him my drawing, and not to brag or anything, but he seemed pretty floored. He said this is totally going on my mirror. This total sense of awesomeness came over me. Then after he had talked to me he was showing it to other people who he was signing playbills for. I wonder if there is a way I can make sure that he kept the drawing? Maybe I should just write and ask. You totally never know. It was just cool and I wanted to share this little story.

everyone set your alarm on April 5th for Morning Show *sorry*
It's not Good Morning America (ABC), it's FOX's The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet. Which I don't get here. But hey, thanks for getting my hopes up!
Heh, yeah. The press release is linked as "Esparza and Company Stars to Perform on FOX, April 5" in the sidebar- it takes effort to mess that up.

I FINALLY saw Company yesterday. It was long overdue, and I actually got the chance to see it. It was excellent. I completely loved it and was blown away by the cast. The sets, the music, the overall production was just amazing, not to mention hysterical. Raul, of course, was very Tony worthy. Now, I am not a crier, but Being Alive, just left me weeping. The passion he put into the song, and his voice, was just breathtaking. Company is what a night at the theater should be, and I can't say enough good things about it.
Afterwards I met Raul, and he was just the sweetest, most sincere, person. I told him how excellent he was and that I really admired his work, and you could just tell he took it to heart, and said a nice, warm thank you. And I got his picture! (with a crappy disposable camera I had to buy at the last minute! Heh.)
I'm so glad you liked it! I was talking with my drama teacher today, and it transpired that he had seen Company as well, and of course I couldn't resist the opportunity to talk about the show. I was almost 15 minutes late to my next class.
I just watched the performance from this morning. Raul sounded phenomenal!!!! I really can't wait to see Company.

Aw, I missed him this morning.
But I seriously can't wait to see it again. Hee
Broadwaywest2- Great story! I'm sure Raul loved it!
So did I - I was in the middle of class when it was showing. Hopefully someone taped the performance and it will appear somewhere.
You can watch it online.

Thanks Em
They're wonderful as always. Was the show trying to emulate Company's set with the pile of cubes behind them?
And since gertrudejessalynn found it, larger (if pixelated) version: http://media2.foxnews.com/040507/040507_mnj_company_W500.swf

The cast met Warren Beatty and Annette Bening. Bobby is supposedly based on Warren Beatty, so that's really cool.
Raul looks cute with glasses.
He does.
