He looks like a LOTR nerd in those :-p
Seems appropriate right now:
Yeah, that one's always relevant.
And I like the glasses.

Particularly with that first photo.
It never stops being amusing.

Aw, he looks cute in glasses.
Heh, that never gets old does it?
Question - was Raul ever tied to "Assassins"?? I was doing some preliminary research on the show tonight, and a website listed Raul as part of the "original" cast. I rushed to my CD to double check just in case I missed something, but no he is not listed there. So now I'm just confused. Just thought I'd check.
here is the link to the site:

Yeah, he was. I can't remember which role -- a small one. I don't know the show well, but I think the character's name started with a Z? He was tied to a production that ultimately never happened, really; it was indefinitely postponed, and then we got the Roundabout one.
He was part of a workshop in like...2001-ish? He was Zangara I believe.
Ahhh, ok that makes sense now. Thanks!
Mandi's right -- Zangara.
I was just listening to Assassins today, actually. He would have been a cool addition to the already awesome cast, but when it finally happened after being postponed following 9/11, he was no longer attached. The Normal Heart and Assassins completely overlapped.
It'd certainly be interesting to see him as Zangara.

Right. I asked him when I saw Taboo if he was still connected to Assassins. He was really sad that he couldn't do it because he was contracted with Taboo. I was so upset then, but it all worked out for the best. Cause he got to give the performance to which aspiring actors should aspire to. Man, if you believe in God like I do, it's amazing to think how much in control he is.
Man. Seems so long ago now.

One of my friends just saw Company two nights ago and loved it. Its amazing, I have yet to hear a bad review of that show from people I know who have seen it. go Raul!
I'm going on 5/4 to see it again! Row BB! I'm so excited! I <3 Raul!
Seeing the show will be the kickoff to the celebration of my impending 21st birthday. It seems fitting.

When is your birthday Em? And yes, what a perfect gift for yourself.
Now only if we can get Raul out to take your first legal shot with you. Now there's a memory!
It's in like two weeks.
Tink, you aim far higher than I.
The whole big birthday thing made it seem like the right place to be that night. (Aside from a room with alcohol.)
I'd try for Adam & Raul, but god only knows what coast Adam is on at the moment, lol!
That sounds like a perfect birthday, Em. Maybe at the stagedoor you could get him to sing "Happy Birthday." Maybe even in a weird falsetto like Adam.
Ariella, I really like your avatar.
That is a really good present to yourself, Em.
Hehe, I dont think he'd do that!
Yes, you're probably right. Raul doesn't get quite as hyper as Adam, though I have seen him fairly energized on occasion.
Thanks, Elphie TNH remains one of my most powerful and intense theater experiences to date, and it's still difficult to articulate.
It's crazy to think that that was almost three years ago. Or... only three, depending on how you want to think about it.
I know. Some aspects of his performance in Company reminded me slightly of TNH, so that production has been on my mind again lately.
