I *wish* I could have seen TNH. I need to read it again.

Sounds like fun.
Em, who is in your avatar? I keep trying to place her.

Raul for best Actor. I can't believe anyone else taking it.
It's Mary Louise Parker. :)
It's funny you say that, Ariella, because I agree, and I also find that the direction reminds me a bit of Cabaret at times. With things like that, it's no surprise the show's captured my heart the way it has.
Oh, right! I think I've asked you before.
Ariella, I've thought that about his performance in Company being slightly reminiscent of his Ned in TNH. Aside from the obvious (the scream), he has that same slightly self-depreciating way of delivering some of the lines.
Bobby's a lot more restrained, but there are so many moments that are totally reminiscent of TNH.
Raul certainly has played a lot of outsiders.

Yay! I just got my picture with Raul developed.
Here's Raul ..and his hand
Aww, he's in his Bobby outfit!
Man, he looks exhausted.

Aw, I know. He came out into the alley after anouncing that he will be collecting money for Broadway Cares.
He was so sweet, and seemed to be in a really happy, talkative mood.
Aw, great picture! His smile is very nice. Bobby is such a draining performance that I was amazed he was so enthusiastic and talkative at the stagedoor. The hug and picture with Raul are probably the closest I'll come to Armani
Broadway Cares collecting season is a crazy time to visit the theater. I think the majority of the money I brought to the city ended up in the collecting buckets of various shows, probably the best place for it.
Awww! He looks happy, though exhausted.

Great pictures!
I don't know why, but Raul has always reminded me of a Broadway star version of one of the NY Yankees. Don't ask me why, something about his personality and energy
I was there yesterday too - matinee or evening? The matinee was wonderful - the cast seem so fresh and involved in a show they have been in for five plus months plus Cincinnati. And Raul - words fail me.

yup I was at the matinee!
It was SO incredible. and what was extremely cool was that my mom and I went into the theater at about 10:10 to ask about rush tickets and everything and the woman was like "well we usually start selling them about 2 hours before the show, but if you have your student ID on you now I can give them to you right now!" so yeah, I think we may have scored the first rush tix of the day! lol
can I just say. Marry Me a Little and Being Alive have not come off repeat on my itunes and ipod ALL day. So so so SO freaking... brilliant. no, brilliant doesn't even begin to describe it. his VOICE is just... addictive. Oh, and he definitely has one of the cutest speaking voices ever :P I LOVE it
I thought Someone is Waiting was especially effective - he really is a little bit in love with all these women and wants someone with ALL their qualities.

I love Side by Side by Side... and the scene when he's telling (I think its April?) the story about getting lost on the way back to that motel with the baby oil and champagne.
Today I laughed to myself because I thought of the "kiss my ass...you son of a bitch" line.

OMG the story about getting lost was SO SO funny!! I was dying, basically. They both play that scene so incredibly well
and yeah, I love the whole "kiss my ass you son of a bitch" part too. And how Raul says "you're high" and the giggle afterward. Ahh, brillant <3

I love when he's asking April to stay, and she finally gives in and the look on his face is just like "oh crap"
that is so my life
I cannot wait to see this man again in a little over two weeks! I'm sitting like three rows away from the stage! :)
PS I lost it during the motel story scene..too funny...

I'll be seeing Company for my birthday. The date, though, I'm not sure of.
But, yay!
My friend (who knows next to nothing about Broadway besides what I force her to hear) sent me this message in response to my away message saying I was retreating into my metaphorical shell:
: take fun music into your shell with you
: the dude ya love so much... somethin somethin broadway man
Hee, that kind of made my night. Totally took her advice, too.

Happy Spring, fellow Raul fans. I love this picture
I reeeaaally want to hear Raul sing "Happily Ever After" and "Multitudes of Amys." I hope someone recorded that.
New tangent for this thread - why does Raul look like a totally different person in every picture? I have never seen someone who photographs so uniquely!
