Oh duh, I forgot Eastern time.
At least 2 hours.
Hiiii.
So he was a little moody tonight. Sweet and all, but just... not all there. He seems very relaxed; maybe a bit TOO relaxed, since he's just like "oh, yeaaaaah, whatever...." about like, everything. He seemed a little spaced out.
My mom got on my case saying he should've been more gracious that I made the trip out and stuff, but you can tell when he's being very sincere, which he definitely was. He gets really quiet and kind of stares you down. He shook our hands and looked us both in the eyes and thanked us and said how flattered he was that people would travel. He has such beautiful eyes.
He says he's absolutely in heaven here, thankful that this is nothing like Chitty. He says Doyle is one of the most brilliant directors he's ever worked with, and that it's... I think he used the word "magical." It's like a dream for him, and that makes me really happy. He so deserves to be doing work he loves.
Skittles can tell her part. She spoke to him more than I did. :) There was a lot more I wanted to say, but he didn't seem to want to hang around and chat, which is cool. I came to see the performance, not chew his ear off.
I'm glad you had a good time!
Now I want to hear Skittles' part.
I'm happy to hear that everything was good.
It's awesome that you got to talk to him a bit about how he likes Cincinnati and working with Doyle on the production. Updated On: 3/18/06 at 12:24 AM

Sounds like you had a great time, Em! I'm happy for you and Skittles, and for Raul - it's wonderful to hear that he describes the show with such terms as "heaven" and "magical."
He's so well spoken; and while his mood was kind of disappointing, it's hearing him say things like that that I'll take away from it.
Glad to hear things went well, Em. It's always wonderful when talented people get to do somethimg they really love, so it's great that Raul is enjoying Company so much.
They've got a bunch of AMAZING production photos hanging in the lobby. I took pictures of some, which I'll post when I get home.
Ooh!
Don't they have a photo section of the website that hasn't been updated yet?
I hope they end up online at some point; they're gorgeous. But I didn't see them there yet.
I can't wait to see them!

Glad you had a good time and got to speak to him, moody or not.
Nice review on the main board, too.
