Horray! But was anyone actually expecting Sarah not to win?
Not I...but I still did a victory dance...because I'm "cool" (if that's a word ever used to describe me) like that.

My internet keeps crapping out so I missed it, but good for her!
*skips downstairs to watch the actual awards on a big TV*
Gooooo Mano!
Optimism!
(Even though I'm a "the glass is half full but someone can knock it over" kind of person.)
Well, I have a bottle of wine here, so if things don't go well....
Kidding, kidding. Maybe.
Well...I have a really fatting cake that I could eat. (But I'll probably eat that anyway.
)
There's Mano!
My sister walked into my room during the performance and I held out my hand to silence her. It worked.
I gotta say, I love the show, but that was just a little...akward. I don't know how else to say it.
Exactly. I'm glad they already voted. :)

Really? I think you guys are maybe being a bit too hard on the performance. As someone who knows little about the show, I thought it was pretty brilliant.
Hm. Not sure what I thought.
It could have been worse...I guess.
I thought that it was fine. The Tony performances are usually awkward.
Yay John!
YAY Doyle!
Great minds...
Really? I thought that it went well.... it seemed to be a good representation of the show for the time they were allotted, which is key. The transitions between songs were fine. I liked it better than I think I would have if they'd performed any one song, especially with time constraints.
YAY John Doyle, although that was pretty much a given.
Hmmm, I guess I'm just really used tp the magic that casts creates at the O'Neill. It just waasn't the same, which was to be expected, but some transitions could have been better, in my opinion.
I think that one's opinion on the performance has quite a bit to do with one's familiarity with the show, possibly. I've only seen it once in person -- anyway, since the performances are free advertising, I think that the show was probably represented pretty well for people who haven't seen it yet.
Yeah. I've seen it 6 so far, and 'm going again this week. It just didn't live up. Oh well, it's not the show has lost a fan or anything.
