The drug testing has begun and NPR just reported two American athletes (didn't say who) "eliminated for the first several days".

I love the Olympics and all the glory and celebration and tradition. I hope that's the end of the bad news...

(and then I wish we were travelling to southern Italy... but, I digress...)

I'm so excited for the Opening Ceremonies tonight! Can you imagine the experience for the athletes as the enter the stadium? It must be THRILLING!

I believe the testing was on skiers. I think that's what I heard on CBS this morning. Interesting article in today's Washington Post about the commercialization of the games(though that's not exactly news). I'll still be glued.....

Looking forward to the Olympics - I'm much more a winter games fan than summer (figure skating, speed skating, downhill skiing - love it!)
