Do you have no life at all?
You are either on here bitching like a 10 year old about Madonna or just bullying online (the most cowardly form of bullying)
You must be one of them people who get their kicks by playing the bitch role online because your everyday life is so damn bland.
I mean you are on here all the time, i know why i spend a lot of time on here, Broadway World is following my new play at the moment and i like to see whats been said.....but why are you on here all the time?
Its time for you to enter the real world, try this attitude with people in person, see how far you get. Its time to release that tension my friend....try getting laid...anything to shut your vile and insultive mouth up for a few moments.
This was a forum about film a horror film, the Genre, you are in here with nothing to say but to bully and insult, you really need to find a life, or hire one, either is fine.

No I am not one of "them people." I don't spend a quarter of the time you're here, if you really want to count.
I was GOING to post about the horrible trailer for the unnecessary remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street but unlike you, I read a thread all the way through, each and every post, before I post mine. Which, of course, meant I had to wade through your tedious pedantic logorrhea in which you mangled, as usual, the English language (or as you call it: launguage) almost beyond repair. So, consider your lengthy distraction, in a thread that was about a TRAILER and not about a GENRE (not to pick hairs), the reason I did so.
Bitch.

I say this straight from the heart:
cut this bull**** out. Every damn thread I open has to be about virtual bitch slapping. I'm so glad we are all adults here (well, besides the teens of course). And this was not to just one person but a group of people

Sorry spiderdj82, i was on here talking about where the thread was going (no Namo i did not change it to the Genre topic) but again Namo has to come in and do his usual with me
And Namo you can go on all you want about my spelling and grammer, i don't care, ive told you so many times that in dyslexic and ive always had trouble with learning when it comes to putting words on the page so to speak, however its something that has never stopped me doing what im doing. Im a writer (yes a writer) of many well recieved plays, i have to have a person who proof reads what i do to help me with spelling etc but to me it's something i have accepted many years ago and have dealt with. The fact you continue to mock me over it even when knowing the truth just makes you come over as a nasty piece of work who will stop at nothing to get a cheap kick.
Now back to Elm Street
I agree spiderdj82 that i like the trailer, it seems like it at least has an understanding of the series which is something previous films like the Halloween reboot or The Hitcher did not have. I will still approach with caution however as i also liked the trailer for the Friday 13th remake, and that was horrid.
Ive read the working script for the new Elm Street movie and it had problems mixed in with some great ideas, i know they changed a lot during shooting, im hoping they changed the right things.
One thing i hated in the new script was the opening set at a party where the 1st victim sleep walks (with Freddy's help) or a balcony on the glass roof below, it was weak and slow, i was hoping it would be gone, but i see the scene is in the trailer, hopefully it plays better on film.

There is a similar scene in NIGHTMARE 3 where he uses the guy's veins as puppet strings. Freaked me the f' out when I was little. I'm just glad they are taking Freddy back to the dark, edgy side instead of the guy that cracks one liners.

"This was a forum about film a horror film, the Genre..."
Did someone call me?
I guess we're gonna have to agree to disagree, songanddanceman. Watch Bava's BAY OF BLOOD, Argento's DEEP RED and then Carpenter's HALLOWEEN in that sequence and you will see the influences are everywhere. And, if it matters, Zombie's favorite movie is SUSPIRIA and HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES in set design and color scheme is an obvious homage (Also to QUATTRE MOCHE DI VELUTO GRIGIO which, given the rock star story, is probably another of his favs).

Okay....songanddanceman2 doesn't like Namo. Namo doesn't like songanddanceman2 and obviously has a sleeping disorder with all the yawning. Let's leave it at that. For the love of Bea Arthur!

Yeah i agree, it's a smart move to take him back to his horror roots, i think nany other way would have been the wrong move.

P - That's fine and it would have probably worked brilliantly if it was a separate film. But he took a movie that was all about suspense and turned it into a gore fest. Again, great ideas....wrong movie to do it in

Pgenre differnce of opinion is what makes the world go around.
The simple fact is you love the Genre as do i, so that makes you have fantastic taste in my eyes.
I also agree that if what Zombie did in the Halloween film was in a film that was not Halloween then i prob would have enjoyed it, it just (to me) was not Halloween

Four--no, THREE!--words that should make every moviegoers skin crawl:
From. Michael. Bay.
Michael Bay is involved with Platinum Dunes a money ONLY basis. He has NO creative input into their movies.
Anyway, I LOVE the trailer!!

The trailer looks pretty interesting. Never watched the original though. I have seen and heard about specifics scenes from the original movie and they are when the girl gets dragged around her bedroom and Freddy basically shreds her to pieces and when Johnny Depp gets sucked into his bed, and so much blood comes out of it, it might as have well been the Kool-Aid man that Freddy killed.

Maybe it should've been titled, as the original should have been, DEEP RED 2!
What are you favorite Argento films, songanddanceman?! I went through a period where I was pretty much obsessed - enamored just isn't the right word - with his work, so I'm a fan of it all (yes, even LA TERZE MADRE: MATER LACRYIMOSA (aka THE MOTHER OF TEARS)).
I find FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET, SUSPIRIA and INFERNO to be his best films but there is a lot to love in the Animal Trilogy and TRAUMA as well. (TRAUMA has Piper Laurie's best horror performance since CARRIE though the film has some very bizarre Americanized scenes (it was his only film, save TWO EVIL EYES with Keitel, that he filmed IN America w/ American screenwriters (oy!)). PHENOMENA, starring Jennifer Connelly at 14, is his personal favorite, but I think it lacks a compelling first half (though Daria Nicolodi has NEVER been more terrifying than she is at the end!). OPERA seems to be many fan's favorite, but it could use some judicious editing in my opinion but the keyhole bullet scene is one of Argento's best macabre setpieces.
Horror fans unite! Indeed! :)

It's not supposed to be Johnny Depp's blood. It's just a blood fountain that gushes from the bed. That movie scared me worse than any horror movie ever has. Freddy Runs. Not only does he run, but if you happen to OUTrun him, he can just vanish and appear in front of you. OR he could just make ANOTHER Freddy appear. Then you have two Freddys. Or maybe 12. GAH. I hate Freddy! I will probably have nightmares tonight.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
