So. Here's the CW's idea of good scheduling. Bring back VM on Tuesday, let it go through February sweeps, then put it on EIGHT WEEKS OF HIATUS. Why? Because they need space for (I'm not kidding) something called Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. Once the EIGHT WEEKS of that surely wonderful program are over, we'll get 5 more VM episodes. With no overall mystery arc.
Television hates me. Or possibly I'm loopy with cold medicine and imagining plots against me. Could go either way.

That's awful news! I'm totally hoping the Pussycat Dolls thing is a huge flop.
How pathetic. I am so sad about the stand alone episodes. Part of Veronica Mars attraction is the season long/part season long mystery element, where there is a payoff. I was sad when I heard the season was a shorter one and so hey decided to do the last bit as stand alones instead of another short mystery.
Ugh.
The CW is crap.
Why do they want VERONICA to get cancelled so bad.
They really don't give the show much of a chance.
They save it from the brink on cancellation
And get it the highest ratings it ever had with its fall finale
Then make the fans wait more than 3 weeks for its return
While most shows returned right after the holidays.
Ugh.
F%^#%&'in CW!

There's a new episode of Veronica Mars tonight!
Oh, and there's a really great article with Jason Dohring (Logan) here: http://tv.ign.com/articles/757/757261p1.html .
WARNING: The article is pretty spoilery.
I'm excited for the new episode tonight!

That episode was great! I think it might have been one of the best ones all season.
Poor Piz(or whatever)!
Mac's new dude used to be on Phil of the Future (I have little cousins)!
I actually felt badly for Piz for the first time this season. Before, he sort of struck me as kind of honing in on Veronica whenever he could, but he was just so sincere in those last scenes. Aww.
I love Logan's self-loathing. A lot. I miss his aggressiveness when compared to the first seasons, but I'm glad that he hasn't been statically mopey. I don't really love the relationship path that we undoubtedly have coming up, but...it can't be smooth sailing, I guess.
I liked tonight's mystery and the fact that Veronica didn't turn in the monkey guy, and love Mac and the boy. I wish there had been more Weevil time, but hopefully sometime soon. It's awesome that the bottle of scotch and the Plan a Perfect Murder papers carried over from the first arc.

I REALLY loved when Dick took those photos of, um, himself.
Oh, Dick was great this episode! Usually I'm only mildly amused by or indifferent to him, but he was marvelous in that first scene with Logan.
Aww poor Piz. Mac and her guy are really cute together. The monkey was adorable! I want one.
I came here with thoughts of bumping this thread--how lovely that someone did it for me!
This was a great episode, easily one of the best of the season. I am filled with such deep love for this show that I can't hardly stand it.
We'll see if my love continues after the next few episodes. Thanks to my inability to avoid spoilers, I know what Veronica can't forgive Logan for--and it's a doozy. A practically character-killing doozy. I'm pissed at the writers for bringing it up, but hopefully it'll be a good catalyst for bigger and better things.
Everytime I start to lose faith in the VM writers, they redeem themselves all over again. I'm just happy that they finally seem to have found the right pitch in Veronica/Logan. Their breakup was completely believable and in character, as was their reunion.
My cup runneth over
Ugg.. fing ****cat dolls...
Yeah that episode was great. The best this season I think.
And next weeks looks... wow.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
This weeks episode was great.
Best of the season: Most likely.
I loved Dick saying The View-Rosie O' Donnell line.
I liked that Mac finally has a man
I felt bad for Piz because for a second it looked like he might have had a shot.
But you can't miss the chemistry of Veronica and Logan.

I knew he looked familar from somewhere!

For some reason, I REALLY love the fact that the cute monkey who played #25, aka Oscar, on last night's episode was the same monkey that played Marcel on Friends.

Ugh. I know. I can't see how they will ever be able to redeem him. I am dreading seeing the drama unfold on screen.
Really? I don't honestly see the thing he does as THAT reprehensible, and certainly not out of character.
See, I think it is out of character. It shows a thoughtlessness on Logan's part that I didn't really think he was capable of. I mean, he HAD to know how it would go down. He may be a bit clueless, but he's not THAT stupid.
This is the one thing that Logan has done this season where I'm actually on Veronica's side. He certainly has some 'splainin to do.

Worse than bum fights? Worse than providing the rohypnol that led to her rape? Worse than, oh I don't know, making her life hell for about a year after Lilly's murder? I'm impressed.
Really, though, the Veronica/Logan reunion just screamed "disaster". Just as it seemed the episode would conclude that there's more to life than who you're dating, they fall back on old patterns. And it all comes right after he (rightly) broke up with her. Of course their relationship isn't going to last more than a couple of episodes this time. I don't need spoilers to tell me that. All I'm saying is that Wallace had better show up now, because more than anyone else around now he knows the ins and outs of the Logan and Veronica saga. And she's going to need a BFF soon.

Did Wallace move back to Chicago?
I loved the conversation in bed between Veroinca and Logan; I thought it showed some real character growth on Veronica's part.
Oh, and I HATE the idiots in the CW promo department!!
Ugh, I hate the promo department, too! I have faith in Rob Thomas & co. not to do anything like... what the preview implied, but I hate that the promos plant seeds of doubt. Is that REALLY what they think that we wanna see in watching this show?
When I watched the promo last night I screamed "WHAT!?"
But then promo's never really show what's gonna happen, and I have faith, so yeah.
Oh, and I loved that scene when Lamb is rocking out in his car and then Keith pulls up beside him in uniform and just waves.
Haha, Lamb is a loser

Add me to the I didn't think it was that awful club.
And certainly not out of character for Logan. I mean it sduckede but I would have expected worse.
And blah to that preview!

One of my favorite mysteries of the week ever.
Although Veronica needs to stop watching Battlestar Galactica, and Kristen Bell needs to make her feel 3-d again. Though her delivery of "Amuse me, damnit, amuse me!" was hilarious.
