I would *love* to learn how to play the violin. I really wish I'd had those really overbearing parents who forced me to learn a musical instrument.

I wanted to play an instrument... my parents were confused, heh. I almost played the saxophone, but they showed me a tenor sax. It was bigger than me, so I chose to play the flute.

I took guitar lessons as a kid. But never really applied myself.

So I only know how to play the guiro, which is a percussion instrument none of you have ever heard of. lol

Oooh. For those who were around earlier, Mano's friend Paul Festa, the one who made the documentary (and the guy who "tolerates Mano's heterosexual lifestyle") wrote back. He says he's hoping the movie gets a NYC release. He's submitted it to NYC film festivals, and is waiting to hear from them.

He promised to keep me informed.

About guitar lessons, I reccomend (HIGHLY, at that) teaching yourself. It's much more fun, and you get to come up with a style all on your own. After a while, you begin to pick up some theory, and it all starts to get really easy. Everything you'll ever need can be found at http://www.chordfind.com

I've always, always wanted to learn guitar. I own one, but it's had a broken string for YEARS. Maybe I should look into getting it fixed. Or borrow my mom's. Or my brother's. hm.
