Posted: 3/28/06 at 7:26pmI have a lot of pictures hanging up in various places in my room. I have a couple of those memory board things. I also have a photo album, but it's mostly old stuff.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 7:28pmI used to, but so much has ended poorly or come to regretful end that it just makes me angry now.

I don't have many pictures with actors, cause I'm not a big stagedoor person (honestly!)
I did print out my Mano pics, though, and gave 'em to my mom. Cause she has a HUGE crush on him. heh
By the way, I'm working on a little gift for you guys. Should be ready soon...

I'm sure everyone in this thread is already aware of this, but always back up your digital photos (or be like Fantab and have prints made of the best ones). As most of you know, I lost absolutely everything on my laptop a couple nights ago. Although I was really sad to lose all my music and video, losing four years of digital camera photos really hurts the most. I can download the Broadway videos again, but I can't recover the photos.
BACK UP EVERYTHING, PEOPLE.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:22pmSo I'm reading this thing on Wikipedia...and how many people insist that there was a man named Sweeney Todd who owned a barber shop in Fleet Street, with a woman named Lovett who had a meat pie business... and how they were both convicted of murders etc.etc...it's creeping me out. *Shiver runs down spine*.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:25pmIt's apparently based on truth, for what it's worth.

Yeah. Sweeney Todd is a famous urban legend in London. There have been many arguments as to whether or not he was a real person. Some historians have dismissed it as pure fiction, while others have found evidence of the "real" Sweeney Todd. But there's no no consensus on whether he did exist or not.
There's a lenghty story about him somewhere online. It's fascinating. Sweeney at first disposed of the bodies in an abandoned church, before they started to cook them into pies. They were eventually caught. I believe the real Mrs Lovett commited suicide before she could testify against Sweeney. He was hanged for the murders.
All the Judge Turpin/ out for vengeance stuff is pure fiction, though.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:28pmYeah, I'm online now at crimeTV.com and there's like a 15 page essay with articles and primary sources that point ot the idea that Sweeney Todd is based on actualy events.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:28pmWhen I was in London, I went to the British version of Madame Tussaud's, and they have a really big "scary section," which I bipassed, but I like, vaguely remember hearing something about a guy that may very well have been Sweeney. Or that could be Jack the Ripper, I dunno.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:30pmI've never been to Madame Toussaud's, but there's a famous section there with the actual wax casts of the Jack The Ripper murders. Don't know about Sweeney Todd, though. It's possible.
