Posted: 3/1/06 at 4:32pmNo, it was definitely one of those *roll eyes* "Ha ha... clever, Mano." kind of things, but it's cool because he clearly knows that it's lame and was being cute about it.

I kind of got the impression he was laughing, too. Like "yeah, I know, it's lame..."
aaah. He's so cute.

'Mano-tones'. XD Dorky, yet cute.
=D *turns to fangirl mush by looking at that pic*

He has a great smile.
I'm seeing a trend between my fangirl affections and... men of Hispanic descent.

I suppose it's a Hispanic/Latino thing.
<---is Hispanic and defies that theory entirely.

He really looks amazing in that picture. Who says that the violin isn't the way to get girls?
Can you really consider Portuguese/Swiss "Hispanic descent," though?

Yeah, I guess I'm using it sort of loosely, since I'm including Portguese. Maybe Latino is a better term?
Um, I think he'll TOTALLY get girls with the violin. Silly Mano.
Then again, he might get girls with like... a tuba.

I know I'm all 'Don't be shallow' but, looking like that, he can get a girl bleching out the ABCs.

I really have no idea WHY since like... what am I going to do, hand him a playbill and a sharpie? But I really am dying to meet him.

Posted: 3/1/06 at 4:57pmIf/when you do meet him, he's really sweet. He talked to me for about 10 minutes, despite my fangirly-ness. Then again, it was the subway, not the stagedoor, so he couldn't really escape.

Yeah, I've heard that he's really friendly. I'm just not good at like... randomly striking up conversations with actors unless I have some sort of personal background with them (i.e. Mr. Pascal). I just... never know once you get past "you were wonderful," or whatever.
I mean, I can't be like "hi, I'm ___. I know you're ten years older than me, but I think you and your violin are really sexy. And you're straight. Let's talk about that."
You met him on the subway?

yeah, I completely understand about striking up a conversation. I was with my dad, so I couldn't like, flirt...and I'm quite a bit younger than he is. We talked about how amazing the show was, and a little bit about BKLYN..I can't really remember.
The day I saw Sweeney traffic was bad, so we took the train in from NJ. After the show he and Lauren Molina we in the subway car with us. So yeah, I did.

hah, exactly. What, am I going to be like "you don't know me at ALL, but hi. How are you?" That's friendly and whatnot, but I'm hardly that bold.
I.... well, I'm seeing Doyle's other Sondheim production soon. That's a topic. That also involves a Latino man. YES. He'll... no, he won't care.

OOH. I just remembered who else he reminds me of!
Michael Cavanaugh from Movin' Out. I'm not sure why.
... it was driving me insane.

A little. Plus the musicality thing.
I like Mano's hair better long.

I mean this only out of genuine curiousity, not like "OMG I WANNA DATE HIM."
How old IS he? His MySpace thing says he's 100.

Posted: 3/1/06 at 6:18pmIt seems like he wants his age to remain a little ambiguous, just in case people think he's younger.

hah. That's typical.
#223re: The Officially Official Manoel Felciano Love Thread
Posted: 3/1/06 at 6:27pmI think that he does look younger than his age... I was a little surprised to find out that he was in his 30s, actually.

He's probably like... 31.
How old is Tobias supposed to be? I guess that's why I figured that Mano was younger than he actually is.
