Grand finale tonight. I'm ready!

BTW, I read that Bethenny's boyfriend, Jason, was fired from his job for appearing in the show. He's suing his former employers.

Wow. That doesn't seem fair. He doesn't say anything about his employment...

Remind me never to accept a role if someone does 'Real Adgals of Madison Avenue' re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I've got a glass of wine poured and am all set for the finale tonight!

LuAnn's kid told her sister that she would become a lesbian if she went to an all-girls boarding school; why isn't his headmaster criticizing him via Page Six?

Just goes to show you what a stupid move it was for aspiring socialites to agree to be on a show that inherently mocks their lifestyles. Did they....not watch the Real Housewives of OC before signing on, or something?

I feel bad for the families who got dragged into it, though, like the thing with Jason. Especially since he seemed about as resistant as he could possibly be to having the cameras around.

Can't wait for the finale tonight.

Did Alex seriously just call herself and Simon "self-sufficient?" Is she nuts? They can't go anywhere without each other!

Alex and Simon seriously annoy the hell out of me. She looked like she was going to start crying when she was talking about him leaving. Those poor kids. With names like that, they're gonna be so made fun of. That or called Frank and Joe within the next 5 years!

Francois is one effed-up little kid, if you ask me.

That dinner party was a nightmare.

I actually had a bit of sympathy for Alex and Simon until I saw the way their kid behaved - and how they did nothing to stop it. That's just absurd.

Their obsession with programming their kids freaks me out. For all their efforts, Alex and Simon strike me as terrible parents. With good intentions, but totally misguided.

I couldn't believe that Alex and Simon were just fine with Francois terrorizing the party. I guess they're new-agey "just let them be, don't hinder their expression under any circumstances" kind of parents.

It's interesting how my opinions of some of the women evolved over the episodes. I originally liked Jill and the Countess and hated Bethenny and Alex. But Bethenny's self-depreciating sense of humor is pretty endearing (not to mention necessary considering how seriously these people take themselves), and Alex, in spite of her false pretentiousness and obvious codependence, at least seems like a loving mother (if totally misguided). I still like Jill, but she was grating in the final episodes. Ramona was the worst from the first second she was on screen to the very last. What an unredeemable nightmare she is.

I agree with you.

I found Bethenny honest and self-aware. I really liked her time on air. There is also something likeable about Alex (although she needs some parenting advice!). The two people I liked the least were the Countess (get over yourself!) and Ramona, who I think is just a rude self-centered shallow party-girl with no class.

At first, I thought Ramona was being obnoxious for complaining about Francois. Regardless of what your nanny told you about your daughter, she probably threw tantrums too, so don't act like he's the only child on the planet to be loud.

That said, the fact that Alex and Simon ignored it instead of attempting to quiet him (or stop him from accosting Jason's hamburger) pissed me off. Simon stood there WATCHING Francois stick his hands all over Jason's food and just kind of laughed it off. WTF? I don't care if he speaks 10 languages by age 5, no one is going to tolerate an out of control brat like that.

Don't get me started on Alex's indulgent reaction to the evaluation. Bitch, every kid has to go through that and yes, even kids much smarter than Francois and their parents don't whine about what a boring waste of time it is for their little genius. If he were half as smart as you purport him to be, he would be able to function in public.

I thought Bethenny was awful at first, but that's because the only part they showed with her during the "preview" episode was where she was drunk in the afternoon and cornered her boyfriend in front of cameras to have the "where is this relationship going?" talk.

The Countess is pretty awful. Her attempts to recapture her youth and shirk her parental responsibilities are just sad.

Wish I could read the Child Develpment Expert's analysis of Francois.

Not quite the budding genius his parents think...

Clearly! If they're going to force their unwilling kid into learning 15 languages by the age of five and playing violin, wouldn't you think they'd be more concerned about basic etiquette?

What bothers me most, and they certainly aren't alone, is that they are so concerned about creating superior children, that they aren't letting the kids just be kids or develop their own interests. I want to be around for the sequel in ten or fifteen years when the kids rebel.

News flash for the parents: Francios is not the second coming, Avery isn't multi-talented, and break-dancing lessons aren't going to make Noel cool. Just sayin'...

I still can't get past the hamburger mutilation scene. Who lets their kid do that???

Oh my God, Francois is a devil child. Clearly a reflection of his parents' awesome child-rearing skills. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when Alex said she wasn't concerned about the evaluation with the child psychiatrist, but that if anything, she was worried that her prodigious genius (INSANE) child would be BORED.

I think Avery is just adorable. I feel kind of bad for her, actually; her mom has absolutely no class and is a total embarrassment. She seems like a sweet kid, and she's so poised!

Jill makes me laugh. She has her less-appealing moments, but overall, I like her. I think Ally is really cute, too. And Bethenny should totally have been the narrator. She annoyed me an awful lot, but she's really funny.

I really like Bethany. Jill gets on my nerves, just in the way that people with her personality generally do, but I think overall she's a good egg. Her daughter's kind of mopey - not that I blame her, that's an awful age. I'd love to see her pull the "I don't want to answer phones" thing at an internship where she has no strings attached, though.

Alex and Simon are...just bizarre. I swear that isn't his real accent. And do Francois and Alex go to the same hair dresser, or what?
