I'm not kidding, that's really what he's like.

Oh, I love longhand...almost never have time to use it anymore though because if I'm writing I'm always doing eight other things at the same time. ::sigh::
You're writing a script Fredi?

Not warm here, we have about five inches of snow and counting. Rare, but I'm not complaining! I actually walked the word 'Docs' inside a heart I made in the snow out back. Whenever I look out my sister's window, I can see it. *hugs Doc Martens*
Not a fan of longhand... *sighs* How do you make yourself write? I've been working on something but I'm stuck.

star - worry not... hearing your voice recorded is one of THE most difficult things to get used to.... it's also extremely helpful to your future singing....
oh NTG - i don't know how you can stand longhand.... I can't even read my own writing anymore (i've been typing since 7th grade and type up to 120 wpm....) It's like i can just channel my thoughts into the computer.. just close my eyes and type *ahhhhhh*
yes nessa, i write screenplays.
fredi- i've gotten used to hearing my voice recorded. my high school used to have use record to presubmit ourselves for shows (i went to a scary performing arts school)...it's more that i haven't been taking lessons for the past few years, and i can hear where my voice has deteriorated. nothing i can't get back though.
For some reason I can concentrate better longhand. Like I said, if I'm on a computer, I'm multitasking.
I also really like writing very late at night...after midnight. Don't know why, but I get better stuff then.

oh ellie - all the better...
the best characters and the wierdest ones... and you can't make them up - they're almost always based on someone real
(like bso's suggestion... you guys will definitely find your way into something of mine...)
nia - where are you with all that snow?
hey everybody - i haven't been on in so long!!! my silly computer decided to crash - the screen doesn't do anything so i steal this one when i can!!!
so much catching up to do!!!
i hope everybody's having a great holiday season thus far!

i had a blowout as i was driving down my street going around a corner. well, i over steeres to avoid the corner - then all hell broke loose. i almopst hit this guys mailbox, but i avoided it (yeah, me!)
anyway, i finally gained control of the car and stopped, at the stop sign. this lady i know lives there (always walked her dog by the bus stop). She is a retired policewoman so she came out to help me. Anyway, the guy next door to her (whose mailbox i avoided) started yelling "he's high! he shouldn't be on the road! etc" (i was on the way to get a haircut.)
So two police cars come from both directions. then the lady explained that the guy is crazy and that she is a retired police officer.

I think my "friend" is writing a book - i imagine a chapter devoted to me. (we don't talk anymore because he is a stalker (30-something). lots of weird stories.)
brain....hurts....gah....
adam, i was rereading the early pages of this thread at like 4am, and i wondered what ever happenned to you.

yeah ntg - i like the late night/early morning hours too...
since becoming a mom - i find the early morning is really the best..
hubby and i rise very early (4ish) before the rest of the world is up... you can get SO much done....
now -of course- i'm just getting home around that time - but it works out to be the same thing...
someone asked about being stuck? my answer is - RESEARCH! research always gets me unstuck... something about studying the details of the time, place, culture, etc... that my story is set in always jump starts my creative juices...

Fredi, I'm in Ohio.
Ok, guys. I have this application for a creative writing camp and I need to submit something. Anyone got a prompt for me? I can't find a good book of them. I need to turn in ten pages or less... gonna be hard, I usually write more than ten.
'I actually walked the word 'Docs' inside a heart I made in the snow out back. Whenever I look out my sister's window, I can see it. *hugs Doc Martens*'
That reminds me of the line in Rent 'I'll kiss your Doc Martens, let me kiss your Doc Martens-Your every wish I will obey'..
Okay. I need to stop relating everything I see/hear to broadway...
nia, i feel your pain. my statement of purpose for northwestern has to be 5000 characters or less.
CHARACTERS. To define my purpose, and basically outline my research goals for the rest of my life....AAGH

Glory, if you figure out how to do that, let me know. And I LOVE my Docs. My mommy hates them though. She was quite nasty. When I first opened the box I got 'Those are UGLY!' My shoes are scarred for life now.

i wouldn't sweat it glory...
i'm surrounded by "hoop heads" who relate everything to basketball!
hey adam!!!

well guys - one of the first marks of really good writing is brevity...
succinct expression of ideas....
you guys do it all the time here.. imagine how you stuff such full thoughts into little blurbs on this thread...
really think out your statements and then construct deliberate - image filled sentences...
you might find it difficult to come up with enough words...
hahaahahahahaaaa

My favorite pair of shoes were my blue suede Doc Martens. Alas, they are no more.
And I suppose 'hoop heads' are better than 'spaghetti hoop heads' - those people are just plain weird.
Anyway, see you guys tomorrow maybe...g'night!
