IB is the International Baccalaureate Program. (and that is probably misspelled) It's supposed to be tougher than AP and it is a worldwide curriculum.
Fredi, thanks for the kind words.
Unfourtuanately, mistakes are costly 'round here so I play straight-edge good girl. Maybe someday I'll explore life... *sighs*

Yea, explain this IB thing. I don't think my school offers it, but I'm still curious
And Fredi, yea, I guess that's the difference. Because I think I'm pretty bogged down by work now, but people will cut you SOME slack

Ah, I see...
Sounds fun.
Although I don't know if it's offered anywhere around where I was, I'd never heard of it. O well, too late now anyway, ha.

cammie, what happened?
NTG, AMEN. If I have to listen to ONE MORE CONVERSATION about the OC or hair straighteners... not that we all don't have shallow sides, but really. Don't they read books or anything?
Guys, check out www.ibo.org if you want to know what IB is, it's hard to explain.

Wow..that sounds really cool! I'm sure that they don't offer it at my school though
and NTG..haha, exactly!! I'm young for my grade, but I'm more mature. Maturity isn't accepted at my school :-p

Posted: 11/30/04 at 9:33pmI just updated my message if anyone cares. I'm the biggest shill for that program. (I HATED it through grade 11 but I started to really love it and if I had to relive any part of my high school past, it would be that.)

"Don't they read books or anything?"
no, and that's why cliffnotes and sparknotes are so sucessful
I know this may seem kinda bitter, but I seriously hope that all the rich b*tches in my grade come back to a reunion fat and ugly so their insides can shine through

cool
do immature people talk about IB classes? I THINK NOT!!!
anyway - all those classes and hours and whatnot that you're putting in now...
wait until IT'S YOUR JOB - no summers off (2 weeks paid per year IF you're lucky....)
No extensions for late assignments (your boss doesn't give a sh** about your dog eating your proposal)
being an adult has it's perks too be sure (r-rated movies, bar-hopping and the like...)but it comes more than it's share of responsibilities and all that you are going through now is prep for that.
ps - I always looked OLDER... I've been this height, weight, and boobage since I was 14 YEARS OLD!!! In my 8th grade pic - people always mistake me for the teacher!!!
However, it seems to be working in reverse now. I didn't get carded until I was over 30!!! go figure. I'll take it though

Posted: 11/30/04 at 9:36pmi don't think my school has "IB". i've never even heard of it before. if you're a brain in my school you do math, science, or social science research and enter the intel competition, etc. someone in my school actually won the intel competition in science, in 1999 i think...

I've been my same height since 4th grade...
I went to church on Sunday and a bunch of people asked me if I was home for Thanksgiving...

Fredi, that's true. It's nice to not have to worry about the bills, but living with my parents is exhausting. They're never quite happy and are always looking over my shoulder.
star2be- cliffnotes are good, but no substitute for the novel itself. I just use them with class assignments to make sure I understood everything I read already.
NTG- people think Bush is hot!?

Oh that's funny Fredi, the whole boobage thing.. I had issue in middle and high school with that.. Being a size three yet the largest chested girl in school was never easy. However I'm short, and apperantly my face looks young. I'm ok with that though. At first it was hard to take, but as I get older it's more of a compliment now.
Nia- my dad stopped by to drop off my bday present, and well my mother was here too. I haven't seen them in the same room since I was in High School.. It was just really weird.. They were nice to each other but it was tense.

I've been accused of being a lesbian for a variety of reasons since I told someone I didn't like any of the guys in my grade when I was 10.
That was just today's reason.
And yes, som...frightening, isn't it?

Hey! Spark/Cliff's Notes are my friends! Haha.
And they're not substitutes, they're suppliments.
Nonetheless, they're helpful!
Don't worry, I was in like AP English and everything, but I did use them to make sure I understood, remembered the key elements and themes, etc.

NTG, almost as frightening as Tiff's avatar.
Why are you gay for not liking anyone? I haven't had a crush in ages. Most people I know just aren't my type. It's ok.
Exactly, MrMusic.

som - PARENTS ARE SUPPOSED TO LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER
be glad for them - it means they care
NTG - 1st good to hear you today
2nd - i know what you mean about being more mature than your class - i had the same problem - but in the long run, it will serve you well (and you'll find a lot of adults just as shallow as some of your classmates - believe me)

I'm the same way (ok, not so much with the boobage...a little lacking there, lol and I'm short, but I suppose I still look older. I'm full grown, that's the point, lol)...people always think I'm in my twenties. I've gotten as old as 25 a coupl of times. I hope it starts working in reverse for me as well!

i. don't. grow. ever.
5.2 and 1/4 YESS
i think the worst thing is not being able to drive. my parents have to bring me EVERYWHERE, and when it's someplace they don't want to go (ie. - adam's concert) then i simply can't go. i wanted to go to a greenday concert in NJ (i'm in NY) and my parents allowed me to go to the concert, but i had no way of getting there. it sucks.

Share the boobage, please...
Fredi, I know they love me, but... (warning: whining ahead) It drives me up the wall. They don't even want me posting on message boards.
