"Geoffrey Rush is PERFECT casting."
Agreed. But who to play Murdoch's nemeses? The three people credited with tenaciously bringing this matter to the surface are Guardian journalist Nick Davies and Labour MPs Tom Watson and Chris Bryant.
Chris Bryant is particularly interesting as he is a former vicar who became an MP in 2001 and was then outed by the Murdoch press when they published photographs from his Gaydar profile:
Mmmmm, handshake. Maybe he should have used a tripod.
At a subsequent political conference, where he met Rebekah Brooks at an evening function, Bryant quotes Brooks as having said to him "Mr Bryant, it's after dark. Shouldn't you be out cruising on Clapham Common?", to which Brook's then husband (actor Ross Kemp, whom Goth will recognise) responded "Shut up you homophobic cow."
