mine didn't really hurt.
i'm actually planing on getting another one when i can save up some cash.
i have it all drawn out and it's really beautiful.
it's a blue dysautonomia awareness ribbon with flowers and butterflies around it with the words "find a cure" above it.
the butterflies represent my dear friend caity who lost her battle with the disorder in 2006, since she's now free of it, and the flowers, being something that's alive and grows, represent hope for a cure.

I overheard this girl talking to a friend a while ago about a tatto of a g-clef on her forearm. The friend asked her about it and the girl said, "Yeah, its some kind of music symbol or something." Maybe I interpreted it the wrong way, but to me it sounded like she didn't know what the symbol meant.
I don't understand getting a tattoo of something if you don't know what it means...
My driving instructor has a tattoo of an angel shooting istelf Moritz-style. Found that interesting.
I'm too fickle for a tattoo.

Posted: 7/11/08 at 2:26amI put a crucifix on my right foot last year, but never attached the rosary beads up my foot and around my ankle. Well, I went back last night to add the rosary beads, and oh my GOD!!!! I can't decide what hurt more- around my ankle or going up along my foot. I have 4 other tattoos, but this was by far the most painful!!!

OK, well that solidified it for me. No butterfly on my foot.
xoangel, I agree with you. Why would you get a tattoo of something you don't even know what it is?
