I don't think I'll ever have kids. I'd be perfectly content being the fun aunt who all of my friends' kids look forward to seeing and not having to deal with the tough parenting stuff at the end of the day. I just don't think I could rein in my stubborn perfectionist control-freak tendencies enough to be a good mother.

Speaking of children, yesterday while I was studying, I read that young boys who like to play things that are typically seen as being for girls, like house, will usually be rejected at play both by boys *and* girls as not fitting into the kids' perceptions. That's so sad!

Awww, that is! Poor boys!

My friends are all convinced that I'm going to become a soccer mom.

It made me feel really sorry for all of those gonna-grow-up-to-be-gay preschoolers.

Em, it depends on their age. If a 3 year old boy is playing with a doll, no one is going to care, because they haven't yet learned gender identity/gender bias. If a 7 year old boy is playing with a doll, it's different.

I'm losing it.

My mom used to paint my sister and my nails all the time when we were little and my brother always wanted his painted too because he felt left out, so my mom would paint his thumbnails.

Atrias, your signature is probably my all-time favorite poem. I'm not really a poetry fan, but I've loved that poem from the moment I first read it in sixth grade.

Elphie, I love Anne of Green Gables as well. It feeds the hopeless romantic deep inside me.

I'm not good with studying AP Bio. I keep getting distracted.

Yeah, I should be studying for my Accounting final, but I just can't tear myself away from the nauseatingly bad baseball game on my TV.

Yesterday, after I took a shower, I got rid of the refill on my razor because it was empty. Today, while I was in the middle of my shower, I realized I forgot to put in a replacement, so I had to get my bathrobe and go dripping wet back to my room to get one, then get back in the shower.

I went to read your post, and I realized that "in limbo" posts really are not on a certain page. Neither 160 nor 161 was highlighted.

Anyway, I'm sorry you're having trouble. Good luck with your paper.

Aren't limbo posts on both pages after the more recent page fills up a bit?

Banal: I found a "Stephen Colbert Is My Boyfriend" icon on LJ.

Found it. That's all. Not "used it". I will not use it. Nope.

They are mysterious creatures, those limbo posts. I think they do eventually appear on both. I dunno. They're more amusing than they should be, though.
