It works!
(This is me in my prom dress)

It's working now. That's a lovely picture, and you're a knockout.

Aw,thanks. The dress is now laying in a half-heap over my chair now because I was too lazy to hang it up at four am this morning.

I'm not up on what the latest thing is, but it seems like brown is an unusual dress color. It suits you very well though. Is your hair natually curly? You look rather Mimi-ish there, if you don't mind the comparison.

I don't mind at all. I wish I were Mimi, though, then maybe I wouldn't be so nervous about dancing.
I didn't see anyone else in brown, but that's fine with me. Yes, that is my natural hair. I pulled it back with a bunch of bobby pins and stuck an antique buckle in it, as seen above.

Wow, nia, you look completely different from what I imagined (I don't mean that in a bad way!). Your whole look is very vintage. It's very stunning! I hope you had a good prom night.
I really like your dress, insomniak. It's very unique and the color looks good on you. I can't wear brown, so I slightly jealous of people that have that wardrobe option.
At my prom, 3 girls I know were wearing the same dress. And it was the same dress I had worn 8 months previous to homecoming.
I thought I bought chocolate covered graham crackers, but I got chocolate covered cream wafers instead, which I don't really like. Damn those elves.

Thanks, Siamese and skittles! What were you picturing, out of curiousity?
Prom night wasn't bad, but it was a little wierd. I'm not much on loud music or crowds, but there were some fun parts. Another couple there taught me and my friend-date how to swing dance.
skittles, at least you did it first. You were the trendsetter.
*mouth waters* I'll take the cream wafers if you don't really want them...

Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure. Maybe long, straight black hair with dark brown eyes. I tend to have fuzzy mental pictures of those I speak to online, and my imagination is almost always proven wrong when I actually see a photo.
I wish someone would have taught me how to swing dance. Unfortunately, everyone was too busy making out or pushing their boobs into their boyfriend's face.
PS -- did you like what I sent you earlier today?

Hmm. More than one person has thought I would have black hair (which I've always liked, coincidentally.) Very odd, but not bad.
I had to work hard to avoid the dirty dancing. My date-friend seemed to be interested in it and I had to practically push him away sometimes.
I'll PM you.
I'll ship you the box I haven't opened. I got 2 because the bookstore is having a clearance sale for the summer and I figured that I'd just take the rest home with me. I don't think I'd mind as much if I weren't looking forward to the graham cracker ones so much.
My foot is bleeding. It's right on the bottom on the pad where the first knuckle is for my big toe, so even if I put a bandaide on, it'll fall off soon enough.
lol. and we almost were married.

I... don't understand photosynthesis. At all. And I don't want to attempt to understand it, either.

I remember that, CQ. Wasn't it Tiff who set us up?
Thanks, skittles. I'll send you.... um. Corn. That's about all we have in Ohio. It's good corn, though. Those Amish people know what they're doing.
Why is it that people on this thread are always hurting themselves? Perhaps we should call it "The Thread for those who feel the pain of all of the banal details of their lives"
Siamese, I used to always picture you as being sort of eastern looking because of your screen name.
*pats and mails cookies* I don't understand it either. It'll all be over tomorrow.

Are we talking about how we picture people online. Because usually, if I haven't seen someone's face, I tend to picture them as their avatar. Nia, you're still that guy with the messy black hair and eye makeup to me.

Heh! I'm sure so many people have done that. Me and my impulsive screenname choosing.
I'm just aiming for a 4 at this point. I really should have begun studying earlier.

Hey, if I have to look like a guy, Billie Joe Armstrong isn't too bad at all.
For the record, I used to want straight black hair more than anything. Wierd coincidence. I've sort of come to like it the way it is, but it's so hard to deal with sometimes. I wish I could just brush it like everyone else, but curls will not tolerate that.
I'm hoping for a nice, solid, positive number. They might have to invent a new score level for me. Like -9.

I used to long for black hair as well. I dyed my hair almost black once, though, and it didn't suit me very well.
Really, I'll be rejoicing if I get a 4. I really don't know what's going on, and even though I like to tell myself that I can do well on most tests without studying, biology isn't really something that can come without studying or something you can BS.
I think I should tear myself away from the computer right about now.

Can I just say amen to everything you said about curly hair?
I *finally* finished studying for AP Bio!
