SOMMS, that made me smile... that said, i love making my own bread... my most recent foray was a sfogleriata, bread with basil swirled into it... MMMmmmm, with a little olive oil drizzled over it?

I *adore* bread, but unfortunately am not eating it anymore for a while...I've decided to return myself to my former emaciated, barely-ambulatory glory and carbs have been relegated to fond memories...

That said, there is nothing on earth I like more than a big fresh loaf of good French bread and a big tub of hummus. Hummus is yummus.

Wonder bread sucks. The best white bread ever is Mrs. Baird's, but they don't have it in Chicago, so I bake my own.

Bread is my downfall, Marquise.

Especially a crusty baguette with French butter.

Or a toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese.

Or an English muffin with orange marmalade.

Or a chocolate croissant.

Or some Irish soda bread.

Or Italian bread, with olive oil, parsley and garlic.

Or ... I could go on.
