Now, now, no need to be bitter, Little Papa. We're all going to have to work together to fix the country that your crooks and bigots have screwed up.

I haven't seen that much spin since I had a record player and a stack of 45's on my bedroom floor.

Well, it looks like CO is still a staunchly red state. There are only about 10% of polls in, but it looks like CO will not be okaying civil unions or allow people over 21 to possess an ounce of pot, and it will most likely be defining marriage as between a man and a woman. And to that I say, what the f**k is wrong with most of CO? Are you stupid? How is allowing two people of the same gender to marry going to hurt your "traditional" marriage? Hmm? I want an answer, g*ddamn it!!
But on the bright side, it looks like Democrat Bill Ritter is a lock to become the next governor. So maybe there's some hope for the future...

Posted: 11/8/06 at 12:05amIt looks like we will get to 50 (If Webb holds through 1 more percent and a likely recount). Doesn't look like we will take the Senate, but at least we may have equal standing, save Cheney being able to be the tie breaker.

Posted: 11/8/06 at 12:06amThe Dems have really done well tonight. But imagine how much wider the margin of victory would have been had the machines not been rigged and the Republicans hadn't engaged in their usual voter intimidation tactics.

Though I am sure Tennessee will go Republican it is a slight comfort to know that my county went Dem.
My hometown re-elected a mayor that was crooked as hell. He lost the election four years ago and now they have RE-ELECTED the bastard. So glad I don't live there anymore.

"so it only counts democratic votes incorrectly, is that what you are suggesting?"
Well... when a good majority of the machines in question are manufactured by a company owned by a right-wing Republican supporter, who in a fund-raising letter to Bush promised to deliver him the election... then... well... I'll go out on a limb and answer YES to that question.

Psssh. I live in one of those states, and "bigot" is not at all far off the mark. But I'm not offended by it, because I know that, while I live in a "bigot" state, I am not myself a bigot. So whoever got their feelings hurt must have been someone for whom that word hit a little too close to home.

Well, clearly the more liberal areas of Missouri are the ones coming in--McCaskell may just win and it looks like the Stem Cell Amendment may pass as well. Earlier, they were both losing.
At this second, the 3 remaining races have the Dems ahead. If that stays...
