The question I always have for these kinds of sequels is "has there ever been a sequel with this kind of time gap that has ever been successful?"
It's the reason I don't share excitement when people talk about proposed sequels to Ghostbusters or Goonies or Dark Crystal or any other 80s movie that studio execs briefly think they can cash in on through nostalgia.
