Here we are, June, and we are having the coldest June in more than a century in the Great Pacific Northwest.
Today at the mountain pass 1/2 hour away from Seattle:
Sharp contrast to the heat-wave on the east coast, and terrible floods in the mid-west.
*sigh* Totally have the winter blues ...
Coldest June
Suddenly, The Day After Tomorrow doesn't seem so bogus.

Right? It's just crazy. And back home (Costa Rica) they were just hit by a tropical storm, something that happened once in the 90s and hadn't happened before in decades.

Oh, I just saw some sunlight....oh, wait its gone
next quarter, i am tranfering to a college somewhere warm, i swear
It's lovely here in Los Angeles, minus the traffic and smog.
It is Cold on the coast of Oregon...Snow in the Mountains.
Skiing this weekend?
I don't know... I mean, right about now, I'll take cold weather over body-melting heat any day!
We had skiing until Memorial Day! Longest ski season in a long time, if not ever.
I can imagine the coast is freezing.

Freaky country.
Stupid world.

Three tornadoes in the County this weekend. Three "hundred year floods" in the past twelve months. The coldest, snowiest winter on record. I guess God must be feeling whimsical.
It's 8:35 pm, there's a terrible thunderstorm going on outside right now, and it's so bright outside that it looks like noon. Freaky.

Sunday night it was orange here. Bright Orange, for about an hour. The weatherman said it had something to do with light filtered through dust kicked up by heavy winds but it looked like something out of a UFO movie.
I am sweating from all pores! It's dripping down my face! I traveled to NJ for a party today. There was no path service. Don't ask. I'm so happy to be home, no matter what the temp is!
Today was basically one heck of an ill-tempered commute for a lot of NYers. Wait for subway in 91-degree heat at 9:30am, sweat a lot, get on train that's thankfully AC'd, stop sweating. Get off train, resume sweating until transfer train shows up. Repeat until makeup and sunscreen have pooled in shoes.
I just hope the NY Post doesn't come up with some lame headline like "Baked Apple" or something..

We've had horrible flooding here. Thankfully there wasn't any flooding in my neighborhood, but about 20 minutes south of me people have had water reaching 5 and 6 feet into their homes. People have been washed away and drowned and entire communities have been put underwater. It is heart breaking to see the news around here.

I look like crap, but there's no point in putting on makeup!
