In the last few months it has lost all stability. Today's screw ups have been just enough to send me over the edge. I can see the names of individuals who have added posts to threads on the main page but when I go to those threads, all recent posts have been cut off.
I know for a fact that I made some posts today, including adding some pictures to the Angels thread, and now they're all gone. The index page shows that JustAGuy posted to that thread at 3:49pm but when I open it the last post is DG's at 1:12 am. And I KNOW I answered his post this afternoon but my note is gone.
If driving otherwise fairly level-headed individuals right over the wall is your goal, then congratulations. I have only one question. How do we get the site back that we had about 6 months ago?

Not to mention the fact that we lost MONTHS of posts with no return.
Well, if that includes ALL of Cruel Sandwich's completely useless posts, is fine with me
But, seriously, today was awful !

i thought it was just me!
I've also noticed the board reverting back to how it looked a few days ago, with threads that were created then being on the first page while the newest threads are nowhere to be seen. Granted, it refreshes when I reload, but wth?

Not that he'd take any responsibility for it.
But yeah, the site's been haywire all day. That's probably a good thing, though, considering all the work I needed to do rather than be online.

I long for the site we had on 12/22/05.
What site was that, Phyll?
I liked it better when we had to rub two sticks together to get the damned computer turned on.
I was on the site and suddenly it wouldn't let me access anything I clicked on and then I couldn't get into the site at all. Within the past few weeks, I have noticed threads just disappearing.

I have a novel suggestion for the people who are going "insane": step away from the computer.
If server crashes are really causing that much hardship in your lives, then it may be time to take a hiatus.
I am not going "insane", but I wanted to listen to the Web Radio while cleaning. (which would have been away from my computer) It still won't open for me.
i think you people should show them just how much you hate this and leave bww for a week.
i don't mean don't post, i mean don't even visit the site for a week. take it out of your favorites and just pretend it doesn't even exist.
that'll totally teach those money grubbing bastards who offer us this place to play free of charge that we will not be taken for granted!
boycott bww!!
I wouldn't mind it so much colleen_lee if it weren't for the fact that I (and a lot of other people here)enjoyed this site for a couple of years without any problems at all. It wasn't until they started adding multiple fancy features and added attractions that the stability of the server went down. I think it's entirely possible that they had to switch servers to accommodate all the additions and the new server isn't as stable as the old ones.
My personal wish (and I AM entitled to one) is to go back to fewer fancy add ons and more reliability.

You should totally bring that up at the next board meeting.

oops, I was trying to use smilies, didn't work.
City on fire, rats in the streets,
And the lunatics yelling at the moon,
It's the end of the world, yes!
