Good point, Jane. I think I'll become, "Edna, Concertgoer" and "Violet, Student" for some movies.
Totally true, Nic. (Though for Jane, you may want to add an additional 0 for "10-20+ pounds".) Okay, I'm going to start scrawling out that resume. Then I'll deal with the headshot. I'm not having a good skin day. Time to start pounding back the water and apple cider vinegar!
(By the way, I mentioned this to Nic already, but it goes for everyone - if I don't get cast, and some nasty b*tch gets the role of "Drunk Girl In Bar" or "Corpse #3", I expect that EVERYONE on this thread will share my indignation and engage in appropriate cattiness when the movie's released.)
i don't see why you wouldn't get a part, Tiff. They say that "ethic is IN"
That's the problem. I look ethnic but my Cantonese is pathetic. Unless I'm ordering dim sum, it's nearly unintelligible.
Plus I don't look like Lucy Liu or Zhang Ziyi. I've got such a westernized Asian look.
Jane, your typo was funny.
I thought in the entertainment business ethics were never in . .
Or maybe that is just entertainment lawyers I am thinking of.
HAHAHA I am laughing out loud, really! you're funny too, YWIW!
Did I miss the typo??
Alright, heading out for dim sum now! Time to learn me some Chinese!
And laxitives. Don't forget the laxitives, Princess Buttercup.
Drink up that teeeeea. Dim sum = calories.
How's the chicken going Jane?
Tiff - Dim Sum - ymmmmm.
DD is so sweet to share his impressions about The Pack...
it's very fun and I only regret it plays for only two weekends!
Funny thing is, with 200 or more folks (that's about full) in the house, I could not see, but could HEAR DayDreamer EVERY time he laughed.. and to my heart's joy, that was OFTEN and LONG!
So nice after last having played a bitter hateful ol' Hack in a wild musical that then is highlighted by a bitter death of an audience favorite, after making people drive 40km to see you perform in it.. :)
got to leave the café and finish my dog walking before tonight's performance..
everyone.. PLEASE TALK DD into coming into the city to catch a musical group at the Baltic Room.. remind him it's the husband of a stage manager he likes :)
(I love delegating social pressure)
local paper write up-- damn, not mentioned by name!
oh, Tiff.. I need to learn more about your work in the Vancouver film industry...
I can't wait to hang with youi and Cam again either... what's odd, that is my job title: CAM ...freakosis, eh?
WHERE ARE THE SEATTLE BWWs other than DD and I anyway?
fly here for my 57 minute comedy :)
the chicken came out good-I made it with roasted potatoes in the pan with it. Yum! What are you having for dinner?
know what really bugs me? when they keep calling her Ziyi Zhang for all the oscar stuff. i'm like... no. She's Chinese... it's Zhang Ziyi. ugh. sorry, had to vent.
I just got back from installing the receiver at my mom's house, and decided to have El Pollo Loco - it is a healty chicken place here on the Westcoast. I am not sure if they have them in NY.
Two roasted chicken breasts a side salad and a tortilla - I did cheat and eat the skin.
Makes up for the wine I am going to have later on.
It took two hours to get the receiver installed - my mom's stereo cabinet had no room, so had to move shelves and modify placement of pieces . . . another workout after my workout!
Middy, they get it wrong on alot of places.
I see alot of Chinese names screwed up with the order of the names.
i know, it just really irritates me.
imdb has Yi-Mou Zhang, but I always knew it as Zhany Zi mou
It confuses me.
IMDB
Headshot and resume sent out. Now the waiting begins. I'll be so disappointed if I don't even get called for an audition.
Now to start working on my Icon Productions cover letters and resumes.

ok... so here's my idea for my next tattoo. it'll go behind my left ear, and a moon with the same stuff trailing behind my right ear. opinions?
Tiff-in ONE DAY you had headshots taken, printed, and made up a resume, printed them, and sent everything out?
They said it didn't have to be a professionally taken headshot, so it was just me, my digital camera and a snapshot (took about 20, narrowed it down to one with Rath's help). So yup, yup, yup, yup and...yup.
Oh, ok, very good!

Jane - the world of technology has made that ALL so much simpler - even if it isn't as much fun anymore.

you're right, I don't know what I was thinking. I have a fart on my brain, at least that's what my parents always told me.
