Oh, okay. That's what I thought, but it did read a little unclear.

I have a good thing to say about it-I like the music!
I'm busy in my apt. but I have the show on in the background, and I like the score.

LOVE IT. I find it fresh and original!

As do I. It makes up for all the horrible writing!

I think that DG's mother, the Queen, is Dorothy Gale and this place is OZ but in the future - where "Wicked" tackles what went on before, "Tin Man" tackles what went on afterwards.
The stone face just reminded me of the Wizard's mechanical face in "Wicked" and the witch imprisoned there has got to be the Wicked Witch of the West. That and the hot air balloon in the preview for tomorrow just make me think this is a flash-forward.

"I think that DG's mother, the Queen, is Dorothy Gale"
so DG must stand for Doris Gebbner????
It is a retelling of the Oz story. Plain and simple.

this is the most horrible thing I have possibly ever forced myself to sit through. Nothing about it is good. maybe the score.
I don't get it. I liked Zooey Dasddsfhelkfns in "Elf", but she is like a cardboard cut out of a two year old with ADD.
And I hate Alan Cumming in this. I wish he was going.
And poor Richard Dreyfuss' carreer. That's all I have to say about him.
Everything about this series sucks. I get a gag reflex everytime they say "The O.Z"

Posted: 12/4/07 at 2:34pmI wasn't able to watch this. It looked SO boring every time I attempted. It kept driving me back to my Joseph Campbell book.

No its not. I dont remember Dorothy being sister to one of the witches in the original, nor were her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry robots from Oz sent to rescue her.
This is a free adaptation of characters and scenes from the original Baum book, but a retelling plain and simple it aint.

It seems to take place after the whole Dorothy thing. It's def a different Oz. I love this film. A new plot twist every 30 seconds. Definetly need to be wide awake for this one.
And I think Kathleen Roberson is giving one of the best performances I've seen in a long time.
I don't get all the bashing. I think it is a smart, quick moving look at time, space, and memory.
