Loves me some Citizen Cake! I gain pounds looking in the window.

I totally like the chick from Citizen Cake. And I used to like the militant lesbian redhead (I think her name is Tiffani). But now I'm seeing how cutthroat she is. I think Tiffani was the one who changed the temp on Lea Ann's oven. Plus, I was not impressed with her cookie necklaces. They looked like something I would have made at camp as a kid. I do have to give her props for making it interactive though.
Sommelier Stephen needs to get over himself, but he does come up with decent food concepts.
I think Harold is the quiet, talented, hidden jewel in this thing. Slow and steady wins the race type of deal.
I am totally liking this show (I would actually like to be ON it!). It's much better than Hell's Kitchen.

which one was elimated last night, the older blond woman who was having personal problems or the other girl who didn't arrange the cookies nicely enough?

SPOILER FROM LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE
Jane2 - The vegan chick who put her peanut butter cookies on the plate all haphazard got sent home. Andrea is it? I need to learn all of their names still!
As I was on the phone for most of last nights episode, I'm glad I taped it. I'll have to watch out for the shenanigans of the militant lesbian.

"the shenanigans of the militant lesbian."
Dottie - that sounds like a Miss Marple mystery.
It does, doesn't it!
thanks Peach, I just stepped away from the tv at that point. I thought for sure the other one was going, since she admitted her food wasn't good quality lately.
I didn't see this weeks but did see last weeks.
So Tiffany is a Lesbian? I could have sworn she said something about her husband!
I liked the older lady with the crazy rice!
Oh and about the "wine guy" while his food may have been good, I don't see how all of them could have eaten it......it was SO SMALL!

Okay - I just finished watching the replay - and I have actually gone out with two of those party guests. Seriously. That store is three blocks from my apartment - this whole thing is very surreal to watch. And what the heck was Rupaul doing there? CRAZY! I really thought Steven's dish looked great - I really wanted to try it. I loved that the judge called him on the Champagne being wrong - but that was just my inner demon getting pleasure there. The cookie thing on the neck was great - but just looking at the cookie you could tell that it was moist free.

I watched it last night hoping it would fill the Project Runway void... and it didn't really do it for me.

I missed part of last night's episode (including the end). Who went home? Bravo's Web site is not up to date!

Peach, Brian Hill (the personal chef from LA) went home. Tiffani would have gone home, but she had immunity. She had an attitude problem and judge Tom Colicchio was having none of it. The point of the show being, the customer is always right (even though they were a group of children at the Boys & Girls Club). I knew where Tiffani was coming from regarding integrity of the food that's being served, but she just wouldn't quit.

Thanks Dottie. I had seen part of it, but not the whole thing!
Tiffani thought she was too cool for school last night. A creative chef, whether or not he or she agrees with all of the aspects of the food, understands her customer and cooks to please that customer. Done and done. I think her attitude is going to get her in trouble next week! The little monkfish nuggets looked tasty, actually.
I like Lee Anne the best so far.

Stephen "pretty boy" needs to go, with his, "I'm better than all of you" attitude. The chef whose father was ill dropped out of the competition. He obviously passed away as they had a dedication to him during the credits last night.
I love Lee Ann and am glad the model/chef stood up to that "tool" Stephen. He makes me sick (cold canteloupe puree, for kids! Whattan A**hole!)
What was up with Dave last night? He kept making a weird face, at first I thought it was the octopus smell, but he did it everywhere he was shown. I was hoping he'd do well, he seems like a good guy, but now I'm kinda feeling he's a bit too scattered to get much further.
I'm sure Tiffani felt that immunity meant that she could speak her mind, but I hope it bites her in the end. I wanted to like her, but dont. She's proving to be as much of a tool as Stephen.
Harold is clearly the front runner in my book.
You're right, Doodle, about Dave's expression last night.
He always looks like he's having a BM (but let's not go THERE)
It was odd...and I dont remember him doing it before. Maybe a nervous habit, or post nasal drip or something...
I will say, as the series progresses, the arguments will intensify. When I was in pastry school, arguments used to break out all the time. It was one of the most competitive situations I was ever in. After a while it was such a joke. Oh, and the egos....let's not go there!
I wouldnt be surprised, Dottie...
And one problem with this and other reality shows: You knew that Dave didnt get kicked off, and it was obviously between him and Brian, because he wasnt sitting next to Tiffani to say "I'm not your b*tch, b*tch!" Bravo played that clip in ads for months (we Project Runway fans know.) They give too much away.
I'm another Lee Ann fan who can't wait for the week Tiffani goes home. What a pretentious piece of dog poo. I got so much joy when Madame S said her cookie necklaces tasted horrible.
However, I just don't get into the actual challenge much. I pretty much watch it for the people then see who gets kicked off. I miss my Project Runway.

Reviving this thread -
Who in the world makes a banana leaf tamale to cook in the microwave?
I realize that sounds dirtier than it is!
Seriously though - wake up call for Sommelier Stephen. I was also glad to see Crunchy Andrea do well this past week.

tiffani likes to talk about her boyfriend. she is not a dyke, just a c*nt.
ps. wow dottie -- pastry school?
how i admire that sort of artistry. you can come over to my house anytime if you want a nice kitchen to practice in!
how much do we hate this automaton hostess!? as a hostess she is umm... billy joel's girlfriend
lee anne is my fave -- can make good food and not be sh*tty. and does that queen have moment when he is not on the verge of tears?

I think Tiffani is bi - at least that is what her biography on the show's Web site leads us to believe.
Dottie - I am equally impressed to hear of your pastry prowess! Since baking is my weak point (I can indeed cook, but I've always found baking much more of a challenge - it's so precise!), I have true admiration for people who can not only bake, but create works of art out of it.
Lee Anne and Harold are my favorites. And while her food sometimes looks a little ehh, Andrea has a lovely personality. I was happy her quinoa pilaf (which I would like to try, actually)went over well with the ladies who lunch.
By the queen, do you mean Dave? If so, he is one of my favorites to watch. He is so dramatic!
