Once Upon a Time in America - Carol
Tuesday Weld did receive a BAFTA (sort of the British version of the Oscar/Academy Award)nomination for Best Supporting Actress for this amazing role. Diversity was part of her acting talent.

Finally saw High Time (1960) Meh...kind of what I expected. A pure Bing Crosby vehicle. Mediocre flick. Tuesday appears throughout the movie but doesn't really do or say much. Eye-candy about sums it up.
Follow up: Watched this movie gain. Second time around was better than the first I kind of caught the "crafty joke" the movie does with Tuesday's character, as described in the liner notes. The way she changes her clothing and demeanor according to her suitor.
However, I did find a nice little episode of Ozzie and Harriett Tuesday did in 1959 called, "Rick Gets Even". Cute. I think she did about 4 episodes of the sitcom but this particular episode is the stand-out.

1986 - Something in Common (TV movie)
Cute little movie. Kind of Hallmark-ish...but, cast is great. Tuesday Weld gives another fine performance.
Wow! digitally remastered Rock, Rock, Rock(1956)!I like this movie the more I see it. Some scenes show early promise, charisma, and potential of Tuesday Weld. Have it on order from Amazon. Only $6.00! Plus, bonus episode of Tuesday in Ozzie and Harriett episode from 1959; "Rick Gets Even! However, Tuesday did not care for Ricky Nelson. She said he hardly spoke to her on the set or between takes of their scenes.

In 1962 Tuesday guest starred in a great episode of Route 66 (Love is a Skinny Kid).
Pic from Love is a Skinny Kid - Route 66 - 1962
In 1964 she delivered a fantastic performance as a bad, blind girl in
an episode of The Fugitive(Dark Corner).

Who'll Stop the Rain - 1978
Superb performances by Nick Nolte and Tuesday Weld. One of Tuesday's finest.
Although Tuesday is more thought of as a motion picture actress, she has done almost as much TV work in her career (if not more). And, there is plenty of good stuff to be found.
Reflections of Murder - 1974 - Tuesday plays a bad girl planning a murder with her lover.
I often wonder how a scene might play out with Katherine reacting to her sister's fate in Looking for Mr. Goodbar They were close. Tuesday made something very special out of a smaller, supporting role. The Oscar nomination was well deserved. Katherine brings a ray of sweetness, charm and vulnerability...even some humor... to an otherwise very dark movie full of unlikeable people.
On the DVD of A Safe Place, director Henry Jaglom says, in the commentary section, that Tuesday Weld was one of the greatest screen actresses Hollywood ever created. He also said, in his opinion, Tuesday Weld was the most talented actress of her generation! He says that only her unwillingness to play within the guidelines of the Hollywood system prevented her from being a true superstar actress. She turned down many movie role offers that would later go on to make huge money. Tuesday was the ultimate Hollywood non-conformist.

After filming Soldier in the Rain, Steve McQueen said Tuesday Weld was the best actress he ever worked with. (Ref. Pretty Poison-The Tuesday Weld Story).
Tuesday also drank like Hell and loved smoking weed! She was quite the wild, beatnik-like child when she was younger. Perhaps, more suited for Maynard than Dobie.
Tuesday is also a natural blonde. Although, her hair is a darker blonde than lots of films and T.V. shows she appeared in (hair is more like in Rally 'Round the Flag, Boys.)

Best parts of this movie are the great, combative scenes between Tuesday Weld and Al Pacino. They actually dated back in the 70's. Their love affair ended but they remained friends and did this movie years later. I must add, Al Pacino is my favorite actor. Tuesday got busy with a lot of guys in her days:)

Tuesday and Nick Nolte - Intimate Affairs, 2001
One more for the day...
The rest of the great pics actor Dennis Hopper took of Tuesday Weld back in 1965.
According to the book, Pretty Poison, people used to be amused at what a horrible driver Tuesday Weld was. She banged up a couple of cars and would drive onto a movie lot and sometimes block out other cars or park her car up on a sidewalk, get out of the car, sometimes walking away and leaving the motor still running.

During the first season of Dobie Gillis, Tuesday Weld was to appear one evening on a talk show. She was exhausted after a long day's shoot. She dozed off and was running late to the studio. She was barefoot and only wearing a long shirt that looked like a robe. And, her hair was not kept.
Playwright/Actor Sam Shepard wrote in his book, Motel Chronicles, "On an early evening talk show, Tuesday Weld appeared in bare feet and a full shirt and the interviewer (I think it was David Suskind)spent the whole time putting her down for having bare feet on his show and how this was a strong indication of her neurotic immaturity and need for attention. I fell in love with Tuesday Weld on that show. I thought she was the Marlon Brando of women."
