I wish she were on Broadway instead, but perhaps been there done that is part of her philosophy. (Majestic, Radio City, the Garden...) And we her daughter leaving the nest, maybe she didn't find Manhattan the perfect arena for her efforts. I thought she was here to stay, and there was even talk of her reviving HELLO, DOLLY. But this deal's gonna make her one rich lady, so what the hell am I talking about?
I've been seeing her onstage for 30 years, missing only the Continental Baths (she was sooo not there when I arrived...). I still believe she's the best live performer there is
