Five shows a week for 20 weeks is a lot for a show like hers. She puts so much out there, and she really responds to a hot audience. I've always wanted to go to Vegas, now I want to go even more!

Bette was born for this. Plus being given such a huge canvas as the Caesars stage, she will create something divine. I'll need to get back to Vegas for this. What a hoot.

I was in Vegas for the first time in February and I loved it. My mind has been reeling for an excuse to go back and now Bette has delivered it.

I wish she were on Broadway instead, but perhaps been there done that is part of her philosophy. (Majestic, Radio City, the Garden...) And we her daughter leaving the nest, maybe she didn't find Manhattan the perfect arena for her efforts. I thought she was here to stay, and there was even talk of her reviving HELLO, DOLLY. But this deal's gonna make her one rich lady, so what the hell am I talking about?

I've been seeing her onstage for 30 years, missing only the Continental Baths (she was sooo not there when I arrived...). I still believe she's the best live performer there is

I agree Auggie. Although Idina comes close. (I kid, I kid.) Her deal is only for 100 shows a year. Celine was doing 160. When I went to Vegas in February, I believe Celine did about 2 shows in the six weeks around my vacation.

And at 90 minutes, Bette's Vegas shows will be about 45-60 minutes shorter than her tour productions have been. Would a Broadway producer allow that? And as she points out in the article, she will have heretofore unimaginable bells and whistles at her disposal.
