wow! good seats. will you be fighting over the 100 section?
I would think they would be there (or be on their way soon). It sure seems like they're hopping around a lot. First all this NYC business, then they're supposed to be in Vancouver, and I read that they're supposed to have their dress rehearsal in LA (I guess there are some contests for free tix) and then the opening in San Diego...seems like an awful lot of hopping around (and moving of the set...well, I guess that's the point, practicing putting up/taking down the set...dolt)
Ummm...I have a feeling Tiff's going to abandon me and my section 409s for Saturday!!!
Aww, Mabel, I wouldn't do that. (Ellie. CALL ME.)
But at leat we have decent 200-level seats on Monday, right?
Yeah...I guess...*tears up* Ellie, are you bringing the three folks who were trying for tix?
On a happy note, at least we'll all be there on Saturday, right?!?! We can meet up for a bite to eat before hand, and then we'll go our separate ways...Ellie to one of her two kick-ass sections, and me and Tiff off to our less than desireable seats...But at least we only paid $55, right! And we're going to two shows, right?!?!? Yeah...yeah!

Well, I'm not bringing them, they're bringing me!
And yes, we'll have to meet up!

Oh Mabel, at least we're seeing them TWICE, right? That's more worth it for sure! Yeah!x7 Yeah!x7
Do we HAVE to meet Ellie? I don't want ot be seen in public with her. It cramps my style. You know, being cool?
Well, maybe you can wave to us in 409...I was looking at the seating chart and 409 and 211 are kind of in-line together (nah, we'll probably be too high up to see you down below!!! *cries*)

Well, obviously if I did deign to bestow my presence on you, we would have to remain at least 8 feet apart at all times. And even then, I would be forced to wear a wig/false nose/glasses. God forbid I be seen mingling with the likes of you. *shudder*
Well then, it kind of works out legistically (taking the 8' rule a smidge farther). We'll be in the same general area, but removed, two levels!
Mabel, if you go to www.thegarden.com, you can see the view from each section. Maybe it's a self-fulfilling prophesy, but I didn't see THAT much difference btwn 2[whatever it was] and 409. Uh-huh.
Yeah, I was checking that out too. I don't think we'll be too bad off (is that a phrase, "bad off"??? It kind of just came out of me, but it looks really wierd!) I'm excited, especially for Monday, our SECOND show!
*clutches mabel in a hug* Hon, I'm so excited I can't even begin to tell you. I hope I'm not homeless by October! I still feel badly that I wasn't able to get anything better than my Monday tickets though. I did everything right!
Well, Tiff my dear, you don't have to appologize to me for the not so great seats for Monday...We'll have the 200s! I guess you'll have to be grovelling w/ BST and Shub
Hah! BST's getting her seat for free, and Shub wold have to buy from eBay at 5x the face value to get into MSG, so it's safe to say there won't be any grovelling coming from me!
I'll still try for November for the hell of it though, and then I'll have to decide if one GA concert in November is worth foregoing 2 shows in October for. (I'm thinking not.)
Totally a rumor on interference, but I just about orgasmed at this post:

I was down at Gm Place tonight and I could hear them playing. It was a little har with the trafffic but it sounded like they were playing Lady with a Spinning Head. There were a couple suits that walked in and out and there were two large black suburban parked at the doors behind the trucks. So I would say they are here. I also heard rumor that they are staying at a Hotel on Beatty St.
The boys are here! The boys are here!! *shaking*

Don't worry, I've just gotten off the cellie with my man, Bono...I've warned him to look out for a big, sweaty Barry White lookalike in a backless paper dress. He's gonna let the other guys know too, so it should be OK.
*eyes well up*

I don't know.
This contest for a U2 rehearsal on the 26th in LA has me thinking that LA is the place to be for all the rehearsals. There was talk somewhere that U2's stage had to be out of GM Place by the 19th. It is becoming clear in my mind that the stage will move to LA immediately and be set up by the 21st or so. This gives U2 5-6 nights of continuous rehearsals of which they only need 4-5 nights really. The 26th would be this last rehearsal date and then its a day off for rest and stage moving to San Diego. This makes sense to me. U2 would only practice with their new stage in the final week leading up to the tour opener. This was the case with the Elevation Tour rehearsals.
As far as U2 playing in GM place tonight? I'm sorry, but they don't stay up and party in NYC till 3am and then hit a plane to Vancouver to practice tonight. I don't buy that.
I'm sorry fellow Vancouver U2 fans, but I have a bad feeling U2 are setting up shop in LA, not here. The stage is being built here. Nothing more.
I hope I'm wrong about this.

Ellie, do you get this Hartford radio station at school?!?!?!
"TIC FM in Hartford, CT is also holding a contest...
96.5 TIC is your official U2 station! U2's Vertigo//2005 World Tour hits Hartford December 7th and we've got the MOST tickets to giveaway for the BIGGEST concert tour of the year! Listen to 96.5 TIC's Craig & Company weekday mornings at 7:20am for the U2 Montage. Identify all the songs in the montage and win a pair of tickets to see U2 December 7th at the Hartford Civic Center, a new IPod filled with the U2 library and qualify for the grand prize...a trip for 2 to LA to see U2 in their final dress rehearsal before they kick off their World Tour!"
ETA: I guess they're doing a similar thing in NYC tomorrow. They'll be playing U2 all day for St. Pat's and giving away tix every hour on the hour (K-Rock 92.3) and all the people who win tix will also be put in a pool for the grand prize, a trip to LA to see the final dress rehearsal...Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow?!?!?...But now, I'm off to see Good Vibrations (don't laugh, I got a free ticket!)
Ooh, cool! Mabel and Ellie, you should both try for tickets. I wish they'd do something like that down here, I haven't heard about anything though (probably because there are no shows scheduled here).
Tiff, they still might be in Vancouver, you never know!
