It's a Mon/Tues...I think I'm going to stand by my current "nothing but GA" stance. I just don't think I should go TOO crazy (as much as I'd love to!!! You'd never know it by watching me this morning, but I'm really one cheap bastard!!!)

I concur with you. GA or bust. And if you can get GA to either or, I'll go to that show instead of the ones in October.

We-ell...I dunno. I can't afford to fly out twice. What do you suggest? You know you're dying for my company.

I seriously AM a cheap bastard!!! I just tend to have irrational splurges like this morning...scratch that...this whole week!!! I got the U2 tix, have tix to see a show Wed, the Alice Ripley concert Wed. night, not to mention I've got a friend visiting Thursday and Friday, so I'm sure I'll be going crazy then too...I'll just cry on the bus to Boston on Saturday.

I don't know what to tell ya, Tiff...I guess we can always try and go from there. I've got serious doubts about GAs, so I'm thinking I'll probably be seeing you in October!

Alright, I'm off to the Waldorf in a few...That damn "announcement" on K-Rock was NOTHING! Audioslave, my ass! Could have at least been the new U2 concerts, and I'd have felt special knowing about them before it was announced. WTF?!?!?

Yeah, I'm highly doubting GAs. Plus I figure I'd rather go closer to my birthday weekend. (And yours, right??) Maybe if we get GAs to both shows, we both go in November, otherwise if we score a pair of GAs to only one show, well, you can have one ticket, and I'll sell my other one at slightly higher than face value on eBay to fund my trip! (I think I'll start teh bidding at face value, and anything else higher than that is the bidders' own doing!)

Good plan! I'll be at home on Monday though, so I'm not anticipating much success on our slow-ass computer!

Oh, they had a second "special announcement" about the added U2 dates on K-Rock...zzzzzz....

Got my LP packed, along w/ the little Vertigo book thing (that's all I have w/ me that's U2 related). I've also got a couple of books...might as well do some homework while I'm kicking around waiting for a few hours...since I didn't do ANYTHING this weekend!

Nope...I'm going the schleppy route...I'm too damned tired to bother trying to look cute.

Talk to you later...I may come back after the ceremony starts at 8, and try back later to maybe catch them coming out (10:30-11)...It'd be foolish to wait around there while the ceremony's going on! Not like they'll be skipping out early! Gotta stay for the jam session!!! Ooohh, I can't wait to watch it Sat.

GAH!!!!!!!!! You have no idea how excited I am about those November MSG dates. GAs or not, I'll be there. That makes me so relieved about missing Hartford, because I really wanted to see them at least once more. I don't know if I can stand to go through this ticket drama again, though! I think I may keep my single lousy ticket for 10/11 and try to use it for trading in case I don't get tickets to either Nov. show. Seriously, I am so excited. YAY!!!
Hope you're having a great time right now, mabel, I can't wait to hear your report!

November isn't confirmed yet, so stick with your MSG ticket for a while. (At least to re-sell to pay off your November credit card!) I'm trying to GAs to both November shows (HA! Well, stranger things have apparently happened to other U2 fans!) but anything that's not GA, I'll be happy to pass onto you.

Thanks, Tiff! I'll need all the help I can get with tickets (I haven't been so lucky). Hopefully they'll confirm soon. Maybe we'll all get lucky and get GAs. How amazing would that be?

Is "maybe" mabel? I would love to go with anyone here, or at least try to meet up with them before/after the show. Mabel, you should come! My only friend who's a fan of U2 (my roomie) just said she can't come because she'll still be in school here in VA and doesn't want to trek all the way up to NYC (not such a dedicated fan when it comes down to it I guess). So I'll most likely be by myself again. Which I don't really mind, but it would be cool to know someone.

Hey all...Oh my god, it's 20 to 2, and I cannot sleep!!! The Hall of Fame was a bust. I guess the only person who was seen at all was Larry (out front around but I left around quarter of. It was just too freaking cold!!! Keep that in mind Tiff and Elph while trying for GAs in Nov!!! I don't think I could handle it. I was only out there for an hour and a half, and it was miserable!! And I thought I was a hearty New Englander!!! Anyway, yeah, I guess Larry signed for a couple of people (damn...I guess he's the "tough one" to catch, so that kind of blows!) I did see Rob Thomas, Bon Jovi, and most of the cast of SNL though. I didn't bother taking any pix, because I was across the street and w/ cars driving by etc. it just wasn't worth it.

Anyway, from reading scattered reports, it sounds like the ceremony was CRAZY! U2 was supposed to play 5 songs, and I think it's still going (or just wrapped up) and it's pushing quarter of 2! Needless to say, I won't be going back to try to catch them on their way out! Oh well...some day!

Elphie, I'd love to go w/ you should you snag tix next Monday (especially if it sounds like you'd have to go solo otherwise). However, I'm dreading the thought of doling out another $60+ right away!!! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be much help in the ticket buying process, since I'll be home (I already said that earlier, so yeah...)

Guess that's about it for now...I'm totally wide awake...This SUCKS! Must.Go.To.Sleep!!!!

I'm following the reports on Interference. BTW, those November dates have been confirmed by Billboard! (You may have said that already and surely I could simply scroll up to check but naaaah.) AND it just dawned on me -- I'm out of town from Saturday till the 26th!! I'm in NoCal on vacation and I don't know if I'll have internet access where I'm at! *sobs* W-w-well, Mabel, if you get 2 GA, I'll u-u-u-underssstand if you want to sell it or t-t-take someone elsssse b-b-becaussse I somehow got the sh-sh-SH*T end of the TM stick.

I haven't heard from Ellie yet. BWW's been down from 8pmEST until I think about 45 minutes ago, so she's probably walking around in a catatonic state, either cleaning up that gooey mess she made this morning, or thinking about her Billie Joe/Bono sandwich. The nut.

Ahhhh...guess we'll find out tomorrow...errr, later today (speaking of which, I guess Bono and Ali are supposed to on the Today show talking about Edun later this morning. I won't be catching it. No way will my ass be up at 7 and I don't know how to work the timer on my VCR or turn it to EP...pathetic, I know, but I've got a universal remote, because I lost the regular one, and I never figured it out).

Well, I can try Elphie on Monday Elphie, but I'm not holding out much hope trying w/ one dial up computer...I kind of had a system down here at school! I came up w/ a couple other pairs for the initial dates that I threw back (didn't bother trying for nosebleeds/behind the stage for the added dates).

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens on Monday. As much as my initial thought is "Woohoo, another U2 concert for November; another U2 fan to meet; another fun night out." The rational side of me is thinking, "I've just spent $175 on tix, I've got a bill for housing for $200, I just had to pay my taxes, I've got a friend coming this weekend (and I'm sure we'll catch a show or two)," etc, etc...If you can snag a pair, Elphie, and don't have anyone else to go w/ you, I'll consider definitely consider it (I just wish tix were going on sale sometime during the summer, after I've started replenishing my bank account!!!)

Anyway, I've been looking at the pix and stuff from the Induction Ceremony last night, and I can't wait to watch the coverage on VH1 this Saturday!!! I'm sure they're going to butcher the thing though. I guess they're airing an hour and a half (probably more like 1 hr and some change w/ commercials) and the thing seemed to clock in at 5 hours or something!!! Oh, and I must say that I am NOT digging Bono's hair of late. What the hell is he thinking?!??!? That shallecked, quasi-mullet look is not working for him at all! Please, please Bono...cut it, or go easier on the products, or something!

And yeah...WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU ELLIE?!?!?!?!
