Awww, Pat. I just had the "ladies" there since Tiff and Claire were the last two to post. From now on I'll make an effort to put "folks" or something. Actually, I just liked the alliteration of Later Ladies.
I also fixed the bold on that list of movies. I had an errant in there instead of . Oops.
How do you afford to see so many movies, Nic?? That would be like, $170 right there for me! *jealous*
I've got to get a job. I've been waiting for all the good movies to come onto the digital cable (which is a good year after the original release - at least) so by the time I watch them, the conversation's already passed.
It's all about movie-hopping, love. That and I saw a bunch of them over the winter break with my mom, so she picked up the tab (though a lot of those were at the Town Hall Theater, which is only $5). Also, I got 10 AMC passes for my birthday, so I only have to pay $1 to see a movie (I don't know why NYC is the only city in the country where you have to pay a surcharge???). And even at $1/movie, I refuse to see only one. I go to great lenghts to set aside a movie day and plot out 2 or 3 movies that will fit back to back. Oh, and in the fall I saw 2 or 3 for free with Honors at school. That, my dear Tiff, is how I've managed to see many a movie at a minimal cost! Are the theatres in Canadia movie-hopping friendly??
Okay, before I answer you on the topic of movie-hopping, I just thought I'd point out for no good reason that my hands are trembling so much that I could probably make a decent martini. Sh-sh-sh-sh-shake-ke-ke-ke...these law school apps are going to be the death of me.
Wait, I'm lost...are you sending more out, or waiting for replys from the ones in the fall? Or is this like a follow-up part of the fall applications?
1 of them is a follow up, 2 of them are new applications plus personal statements (basically the whole shebang). Sick. Sick...oh my...
When are they all due? Please, PLEASE tell me you learned from last time and aren't going to be typing up your personal statement(s) mere minutes before the deadline ticks in. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Tiff, good luck on those apps! And I second Mabel's statement; I hope you're not cramming them in at the last minute!
Is a deadline of next Wednesday technically last minute, since it only takes 3 days to mail?
Heh...heh...*gulp*...heh?
On the bright side, I do think this set of personal statements are better than last year or this November's - more thought out, better vocabulary, and a bit more experience to mention since I've now been with the politician for a while and have travelled more.
Still...*quakes*
Folks, we have a message board celebrity in our midst! (If she ever bothers to show up). All hail Tiff!
Did you finish those apps, Tiff? I suppose you're making progress on your procrastination.
Nic and I are going to see The Strokes! I'm excited; for once I didn't screw up ordering tickets (and they sold out quickly). But I'm bummed because they added a second date that would have worked better for me after I already got tickets for the first date. Figures.
