I just saw Storytellers on MuchMusic (Canada's MTV) last week. Good stuff. Mostly videos, which is cool. Reminded me of why I like their older stuff more than the new stuff. (And as much as I'm loving the AI CD, I'm sick to death of the overplaying of Blvd of Broken Dreams. The freakin' HIP HOP station here is playing it! Man alive! Billie Joe and Fiddy Cent???)

I like all their stuff equally, but I listen to AI more at the moment. BOBD is overplayed, I grant you...but would you rather JoJo or Hilary Duff? My fave AI song at the moment is 'She's A Rebel!'. It's about me, you know.

I don't know what happened to her! The last time I saw her was like 3 years ago at another cousin's graduation, and she was cutsie and wholesome (going by Joanna)...no idea where this JoJo thing came from?!?!? I find her painfully bad! It's a pity because she's actually got a really strong voice (both her parents do as well...sang beautifully at a cousin's wedding). She's been sucked into the mass media conglomorate, was chewed up and spat out again! Pity....

I'm more impressed w/ your six degrees of separation Tiff. I've actually only met her a couple times at family functions. It's not like she's that super-close cousin that you'd go on family holidays to the beach with every summer or anything. But I do think it's rather amusing. I always knew she sang (was on Maury and Rosie several years ago) and then all of a sudden I was watching VH1's Best Week Ever over the summer, and they had a segment on JoHo (oops!...totally an accident, but I'm leaving it!) and what a trollop she seemed to be for 13 (or 14 or however old she is) I was like "....wh...wh...WHAT?!?!?! Joanna? JoJo? What?!?!?!" Yeah, and then my mass media class had a whole discussion last semester about how embarassing she is...does the fam proud!

Yep...tis all on me, for not being that supportive older fem figure!

She *was* very nice and polite and everything the times I met her at weddings/baby showers, etc...This whole routine was just such an about face...Totally random and highly amusing, if you ask me. I just hope she doesn't totally go over the deep end ala Christina and Brit. That'd just be sad.
