I don't know how likely it is that Oasis will open either - I think if they did, it would be more of an unspoken double-headliner instead of a weenie "opening act" though. Wouldn't it be killer to see The Boss and Bono play together instead??

I wish I could see The Killers open for them. I'm currently obsessed with them.
The Boss would be pretty cool. Ellie's opinion is invalid based on the fact that she also thinks Bono is old and fartish.

I didn't much prefer his voice while harmonizing with Bono at the induction to Still Haven't Found... but they both have charisma and chemistry together.

I don't wanna see any mano-on-mano action THERE though.

Dunno about The Killer or Franz Ferdinand (though both are opening for some cities in Europe). All I've heard being speculated are Oasis for MSG and Keane in Toronto.

How about a supergroup of Jake Shears, Brandon Flowers, Alex Whatsisnamepros from FF, Celine Dion, and Liam Gallagher for the opening act?

Or they could always break with tradition and send a comedy out. Like Tiff - the place would be in knots!

Being the sad saddo that I am, I had a quick goggle at the Athlete album sampler on Amazon. If Keane are the poor man's Coldplay, then Athlete are the poor man's Keane.
