Ooooohhhh....fond memories of the Brooklyn Bridge. *off to look at my shoddy, unrecognizable pictures* I LOVED the round of applause for the skyline! Sadly, I fear I will never be that close again...*sigh*

I was browsing the merchandise photos on-line. Pricey, but I think I'll have to buy something. I'm thinking I can probably manage a Youth large. I hope so, cause I'd love to pocket that extra $15, or put it towards a program or some other little goodies!

How'd your friends like the seats behind the stage? The pix I've seen look pretty decent. Though most of them don't look like they're taken from 400 level. I honestly don't care! I'm sure they'll be great no matter what, and it's been good to read (somewhere) that you can see through the light curtains). I love that my seats get progressively better! I can't wait!

It's OK. I didn't look. I saw, but I didn't look. Maybe a quick peek.

Damn you!

Whee! FIVE of the Greatest 80-90 Hits? Well, that's better than four! (By the way, thanks for the offer, but I don't need you to send me a copy of the 90-00 Best Of anymore. I won a last minute auction yesterday and bought it new with the B-sides for $7.99! I might have to take advantage of your generosity for another U2 CD though. re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates!)

I really like the order of those songs. LAPOE as the opener? Awesome. And I love that they keep One in the encore - as long as Bono doesn't keep making the crowd sing it for him!

Did you hear about one of the recent shows where he started horribly off-key, and then looked at the Edge and smiled, and then they had to start the song over again and help him find his key? Aww...I love those boys. (And I'm developing a little crush on Edge.)

Is it only me or is 20-21 songs awfully short of a concert?

Well, at least you could see that mine was a setlist and steer clear. re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates!

Watch out Ellie...this thread may or may not contain potential spoilers, which will more than likely not factor into the shows that we see in October, considering the boys seem to be shaking up significantly....

So yeah...I think I like the idea of LAPOE opening. It's got quite the punch, and as much as I enjoy COBL, I kind of think I'd prefer LAP. More Best of is always good. I hope we catch a "Best Of" show and a "Rarities" show at MSG. No, I honestly don't think I'm asking too much! I think I'd rather have Bad than ISHFWILF though. Dunno. Oh, and I think 20-21 seems pretty standard issue for U2. I think it's short too, but I think the most they played last time around was 23 at ONE show.

You ladies are too much. Gone for one night and see what craziness I miss! I just got back from a Virginia Coalition concert, anyone familiar with them? They're not bad. I hadn't heard much of them before tonight, but it was free so I figured why not go.
Tiff, I sent you 90-00 today (because I'm so speedy), so now you'll have two copies! Give one away and spread the U2 love.
I'm liking the setlists more and more. And yes, 20-22 songs doesn't seem like that many.
I cannot wait until May 21st.

Potential spoilers....*beep beep*

I'm listening to grownupgroupies show on that streaming page, because the window was open and I'm too lazy to get my ass up to find a DC to pop in...Not loving the new Elevation. Would totally be cool w/ me if it was dropped. They kind of slowed it down, and it's just kind of blah. The Elevation Elevation's seemed to be so energy filled and (while I'm sure it was different there) it's just not doing it for me. Either go back to the original version or drop it for another up-tempo rocker (Out of Control or I Will Follow perhaps?!?!?)

#1Elphie, did you really? Aww! (Gushy Aww.) Thanks! You're speedy! Seriously, do you want anything in return? I feel so guilty imposing on you, especially since you're not a wretch like Ellie is! Are you keeping your eyes peeled for October tickets? I'm sure I speak for Mabel when I say we'd love to meet you!

Mabel, don't worry about warning about spoilers. This is all part of a plan to phase Ellie out of this thread. How does the new Elevation sound? I'm not a fan of the original single, so I can't imagine it sounds very good live. (Bono's an awesome performer, but I can see those "Oooh! Ooh-ooh! Oooh! Ooh-ooh!" going real flat.)

20-22 sounds at, say, 4 a song, is only like an hour and 20 minutes. Add in some time for general banter and changes...that's maybe an hour and 30-40 minutes? re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates!

Hey, I forgot to ask, how was Kings of Leon?

Well, my spoiler spaces are getting progressively smaller.

The new Elevation just feels slower...definitley kind of plods along at the beginning. I'm all about new arrangements of songs. I LOOOOOVE the acoustic version of Desire. But w/ Elevation...it feels like it's such a B song anyway, it needs the rockiness of it to pass. Just a thought.

I think the concerts have been clocking in at just under 2 hours thus far.

Ellie, I don't think KOL are opening on the third leg. I've read that Oasis may open for them in NYC in October. Who knows though.

Oasis??? Seriously??? I wish they would open for U2 in November, I would LOVE to see them.
Tiff, I couldn't go in October because I'll be abroad, not because I couldn't get tickets.
I've been listening to a few Kings of Leon songs and I like them.

I read that too! That would be sweet. If only Bono and Liam can make like Brit and Madonna again!

I don't think KOL is opening for them either. And unfortunately the Scissor Sisters seems like a distant rumor. re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates!

More man on man action! Ya think? Hmmm...we can always hope!

I bought KOL's CD a few weeks ago. They're kind of growing on me. I can't believe how short it is though! There are 12 tracks and it's only 30-something minutes long!...They're so young though! Can you imagine still being in your teens and touring w/ U2?!?!?

When are you all seeing U2 again? I know the three of you (Tiff, Mabel, Ellie) are going to MSG in October. Mabel, you're seeing them in Boston, right? And Tiff, are you seeing Seattle? Or Vancouver? Or both? I need a recap.
Yeah, it must be such a surreal experience for KOL. What an awesome opportunity.

5/24 in Boston
10/8 and 10 in NYC

I'm gonna look up KOL later. Were they actually good, live? The response on Interference seems overwhelmingly negative.

I had to sell my Vancouver tickets (stupid me for having to go to London that day! re: (Unofficial) U2 World Tour Dates!) so now I'm going:

4/25 - Seattle
10/8 and 10/10 in NYC

And hopefully 11/4 or 11/5 in Las Vegas! (I can still wish, can't I?)

10/8 - MSG - Yay!

Oasis supporting U2? hmm, that sounds unlikely, especially as Oasis are playing their own gig at MSG this summer. Why support someone else when you were the headline act at the same venue?

And I know Athlete are supporting them in Europe...so maybe it'll be them. You heard it here first, folks!

Who are Athlete?

I don't know...I'm thinking *if* Oasis did a few gigs opening, it'd be more of a favor for friends type of deal, since the rumor was for MSG only. I have no idea. I wonder when they'll announce it?
