Hey all...Popping on quickly, but I've got company over, so I'll be in and out.
Groupie, I actually ended up moving out of the stripper room. It was just too much to deal w/...turns out she was not only a working at a "gentleman's club," but she was placed in my room after being kicked out of another dorm for having anger management issues and verbally assaulting someone. I'm so glad they put her in my room w/o telling me (I only found out because she left her letter of dismissal from housing on my end table).
Tiff, my mom's coming to visit next weekend (I've accumulated so much stuff in my room, I think I'll need to do a prelim shipment of bulky sweaters/jackets/misc. winter stuff) so I'll have her bring the tix w/ her.
Guess that's about it...are we at all considering Green Day? I'd really like to go, but I'm not sure about transport to Jersey. Have to check that out.

I already have one set of Green Day tix clutched in my sweaty little palm, but yes, I want more!
And you read your room-mate's mail?? *gasp* You can go to jail for that!
Suddenly someone can't make me feel guilty for bumping up my eBay bid! (Thanks for getting your mom to bring the tickets, by the way. Do you want me to add on extra money to have them mailed to me? I don't think it needs to be express mail - just something with insurance on it or a tracking number.)
*sniffle* I want to see Green Day.

<-----Coldplay's new album!
Are we Coldplay fans on this thread?
They're not bad, even if Chris has stupid taste in baby names. And they're better than Keane!

Keane?? Zzzzzzzz. Heard one song, you've heard them all!
Meh, I'm bored of Coldplay now...
*goes off in search of Celine icon*
I didn't read her mail...It was the open letter, and it was all crumbled up on *my* end table. I was picking stuff up, and opened it, and really who wouldn't read it?!?!? Apparently she had to go to therapy to curb her anger. Too bad she was still a psycho!
I enjoy Coldplay. I never bought Parachutes, but I really like A Rush of Blood to the Head. I actually don't mind Keane either. I agree they're kind of on the boring side (I think it's really random that they're opening for U2) but I wouldn't mind seeing them in a small intimate type venue. A dose of mellow-ish music every now and then isn't such a bad thing.
Thrilling. (Aimed at Ellie.)
I just really hope Keane doesn't open the 3rd leg shows! Can you say, "I don't want to actually have to sit in my seat?" My fingers are crossed for Oasis and a wee bit o' Tongueplay instead.

Are Oasis actually a real possibility? I'm still rooting for Scissor Sisters! Or Celine.
Yeah. Because Celine at a U2 concert would go over real well.
My fingers are crossed for the Scissor Sisters too - are they touring on their own in the fall though? I thought they were covering Europe at some point this year. But they're my first choice. Them or The Killers. (Why wasn't Franz a possibility again?)

<---- Guess who's back!
And well, you were the one who got my hopes up about the Sisters, damn you! BTW, I just found out that Scissor Sister means 'lesbian'!
It doesn't mean lesbian. It's a reference used for a specific lesbian sex move.
And I know that because...

Tiff, Franz and The Killers are both opening for U2 in Europe, so I'd assume they wouldn't open here, too. Could be wrong, though.
I knew the Killers were, but Franz? Really? For sure? *drool* Dammit, and I'm stick with Kings of Leon and possibly Sugar Ray??
I know, right? Why does Europe get all the good acts? And yes, Franz for sure.
Hey ladies...anyone still kickin around?
I wonder when they're going to announce the opening act for the 3rd leg?? I hope it's someone halfway decent. Even though I don't have Kings of Leon or anything, they certainly seem like they aren't even in the same league as The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, etc. And as much as I don't have a problem w/ Keane, I don't see them as good opening act for U2 at all. I wish they'd just announce it already!
They probably won't until July or August, eh?
I love that you typed "eh." Your Canadianness shines through even on a message board. .
I wish they would announce it soon, too.
Me? Canadian? *sniff* Yeah, so, what are you gonna do aboot it? Er...
Brb ladies. Have to write an essay and put it prettily on a website before midnight!
Oooh...guess you guys were posting as I was typing...pretty much reiterating what I wrote in my post, so I guess that turned out to be pretty irrelevant.
