Oh don't pout at me!
Speaking of pouting, I was looking into the Green Day concert for Giants Stadium...looks like I'm going to have to pass on it. It'd just be too much of a hassle to get over to NJ for it. It's on September 1st, which is before school starts, so I'd have to take MetroNorth into the city to meet my friend to take the bus to NJ, which'd probably end up being like another $50++ round trip. I do enjoy them, but it's just not worth the hassle. Why can't they just play in NYC. Ellie, tell Billy I want a show in Manhattan, preferably after September 7th.

I'll tell him, Mabel...but truth be told, we don't really do much talking.
Not worth the hassle? NOT WORTH THE HASSLE??? Are you crazy, woman?? Where will an attitude like that get you? Hmm, where?
Er...to three U2 concerts?
Not worth the hassle, and not worth the money *hides from Ellie* I enjoy them, but it'd end up costing me upwards of $100 to see them (approx $40 for the ticket w/ TM fees, $25 for a MetroNorth ticket, and another $20 or so for the bus to NJ...ok, not really $100, but sadly, more than I could justify for them. Hell, I could go home to NH and see them at the end of the month for less than that. The Chinatown bus is only $20-30 roundtrip!...too bad they're sold out!)
Off to the pub...see ya'll later!

Fine, be like that...
I just hope that when you're an old lady, rocking away in the nursing home, that you don't look back and think 'What an eejit I was.'
Have fun at the pub! Going out boozing at half eleven. Tsk.

How's the essay-writing going? Not well?
Check your PMs.
I'm back (and I'm sure everyone's gone), but I had to say how much I love my lame-ass old man/theatre queen bar! They played a Celine song and I thought of you Ellie, and we left w/ Pride blasting in the background. Good times!
It's a sign, you know. A sign of the apocalype perhaps (Celine?? U2?? In the same bar?? ), but a signal nonetheless!
I really don't think it's a sign of anything other than the fact that I frequent a really lame bar.
Aren't you still underage, missy??
Ahhh...this is why I go to my lame-ass bar. "If your payin, we're servin." That's my kind of motto. A fine Irish Pub it is, too...full of dirty old men, and a bunch of twentysomething theatre queens from school. Needless to say karaoke night is always interesting!
Shall we go in October?

Too bad you won't be legal. *smirk*
Well, the fact that I'd be legal by then would take a bit the fun out of it. I actually don't go out carousing at bars all that often, but I end up going there when I do just because I know IDing won't be a hassle. It's usually DEAD. I guess it was kind of busy-ish tonight, but I've been in there some nights when there would just be me, a friend, and a lone old guy at the bar. I'm sure we could find something a bit more fun in October, but don't let me sway ya.
How's the work front looking? I saw a back there a few posts...that bad?

'If you're payin', we're servin'.
I have money, doofus.
I don't.*sob*
Work's going non-existent. You wouldn't believe how much my U2 tickets went for...C$214 --> C$347! So that goes towards the MSG tickets!
Oh Ellie, no need to cry. I'm sure you'll be able to scrape enough cash come October...then again...(god, drinks are expensive in the city. I swear, I'm just gonna buy me a big ol' bottle of Kahluha and drink at home...and I'd be able to avoid Celine! Econo-alcohol and freak-free music=the best of both worlds!)
Really Tiff? That's great about the tix! At least that makes things a smidge easier on you, right? I'm not sure about conversion rates, but that'd pay for at least one of the MSG tix, wouldn't it?
Yeah. Like one and a beer.
