Posted: 9/14/11 at 12:52pmI just found out the Will Arnett and Christina Applegate characters are named Reagan and Chris. Ok, sign me up.

Posted: 9/14/11 at 1:45pmNoone loves an "Exorcist" joke more than me, but this got a pretty bad review in the NYT today.

Posted: 9/14/11 at 1:56pmI often take Alessandra Stanley's reviews with a grain of salt. The pilot got reworked to shreds (that included making Maya Rudolph more prominent post-Bridemaids) so I can forgive it for that. It has been treated a lot nicer by other critics, especially compared to Free Agents.

Posted: 9/14/11 at 11:28pmI didn't think it was possible, but this show manages to make Applegate, Arnett, and Rudolph seem dull and not funny. A very disappointing debut.

Posted: 9/14/11 at 11:45pmUgh ..... NBC comes up with another feeble show.

Posted: 9/15/11 at 7:08amI will be deleting this from my DVR. The baby was the funniest actor.

Posted: 9/15/11 at 10:43amJust watched it. I agree, it was really not funny. If felt too clustered to even understand there to be a coherent plot.

Posted: 9/15/11 at 3:00pmIt was just the pilot. I'll give it another chance. The cleanse plot line made me dream of what might have happened to nomdeplume.

Posted: 9/16/11 at 7:22pmIt's not bad. Several reviews made it sound abysmal, but I laughed a few times. It was promising enough to make me want to watch the next episode.

Posted: 9/16/11 at 7:32pmAnd really, like was said before - it's only the pilot. Look at the pilot episodes for 9/10 of the best shows ever - they kinda suck.

Posted: 9/16/11 at 8:43pmThis wasn't abysmal. Abysmal is SH*T My Dad Says or Outsourced or what little I've seen of Whitney. This was merely not good. And there's enough talent involved (in front of the camera, at least; no idea about the writers) for it to make a turnaround. That said, I'm too mentally lazy to tune in again unless I hear it made a Parks and Rec-like turnaround. I watch too much TV as it is. :P

We have too many shows as it is - as much as I wanted to like it, unless it gets to Seinfeld or Cheers levels, we're passing after not laughing at the pilot.
Then again, I still don't get Parks and Recreation. I watch an episode every now and then because I keep hearing how great it is, and I just don't think it's funny.
