Possibly. From OMG Blog:

The article is from a month ago, but it was just brought to my attention that the Chairman of Urban Outfitters is also a big Republican donor, specifically a benefactor of ex-Pennsylvania Senator (and vicious anti-gay attack dog) Rick Santorum.

Yes, this is the same Urban Outfitters where many young gays buy their first ironic t-shirts and skinny jeans.

So do Chairman Dick Hayne's political views make him a cynical asshole all-too-ready to profit from the population that he degrades with his dollars? All signs point to yes.

Article here

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I love how Republican-supporter Hayne reapeatedly states that the stores do not reflect a political view. I wonder how he would feel walking into the State Street store in Chicago which displays Obama T-shirts for sale right in the window.

Honestly, if there was any reason to boycott Urban Outfitters, the perpetuation of the male skinny-jean trend should be enough.

Guys, they're leggings. And rather unnattractive leggings at that. Why make them worse by having them sag halfway down your thighs? Grody.

I don't shop at Urban Outfitters, not because of the owner's political leaning, but because anything they sell can be found somewhere else for a lot cheaper.

And skinny jeans make my butt look good, so suck it! re: Urban Outfitters anti-gay???

Skinny jeans (aka "leggings with back pockets") do not make anyone's butt look good. Seriously. You know how we all laugh at spandex pants on rockers in the 80s? Skinny jeans without back pockets.

Fashion faux-pas #2: Men's bikini underwear. Man panties, or "manties" as I refer to them. Burn them.

It's really difficult to draw the line with one person when most of big business in the USA is affiliated with something unsavory. Whether it's the slave labor being used to produce the crap in foreign lands or the resources stolen to make them. I'm sure there is a lot to be said for a "gay" boycott of Urban Outfitters for this support but why stop there?

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions on fashion... mine are just right!

I'd prove it, but I'm ever so hopelessly shy and retiring. re: Urban Outfitters anti-gay???
