Looks like the Catholic church still is not open to change. What a surprise.
"Terrorism with a human face"
Gay marriage evil, abortion terrorism: Vatican
Did we really think it would change its stance?
And give up its power (since that's what it's all about anyway)?

Isn't it wonderful how a 2000 year old theology can be so threatened by a 40 year movement. Gotta love that!
I thought this was going to be ana analogy.
Something like Vatican is to Homosexuality as George Bush is to Pretzels.

haha, sorry for the letdown, I guess.
It said "Vatican: Homosexual: "Terrorism with a human face", but it got cut off.
So, the Vatican can "Look the other way" while their priests molest children but they actually will announce to the world that homosexuality is immoral. Why does anyone take this group seriously? May they all burn in hell!!!

To be fair, I read it as that the terrorism comment applied to euthanasia and abortion and that gay marriage was just an evil.
F*CK the Vatican, at any rate.
Amen, Kringas!
The subject line autmatically cuts off anything enclosed in double quotes--not sure why...
Have we all decided to enclose amanda24/RTFan in double quotes and cut her/him/it off?

F*CK amanda24, too.
Gross Kringas.
With views like this, it's no wonder the Catholic Church is losing membership, as well as losing its influence in so much of the world.
One can only speculate as to the % of Catholic clergy who are homosexual. Their level of self-loathing must be incomprehensible.
madbrian... i personally know loads of gay priests and can only say that most progressive catholic churches in America completely ignore what the Vatican has to say about this... according to Vatican II, no Catholic church has to follow it anyway...
Forgive my ignorance, but what is Vatican II?
The sequel?
It didn't do nearly as well at the box office, b12b, which is why you probably never saw it.
It's the Second Vatican Council, held back in the 60s to bring the church into the "modern" world. We got to drop Latin as the official language of Mass and gave the bishops a little more freedom to incorporate local traditions and sensibilities into the church.
Ugh. Who'd pay to see that?
Thanks, chicolini.
I dropped Latin too and took Home Economics instead.
I took Homo Economics. I can't cook, but my apartment is fabulous.
This is the only movie I'm aware of with Sly and Arnold.

That's the one, taz. Pope John is working the docks when they return the boat.
Loved it! saw it 3 times in the theatre!
I must say after that dock scene I can never look at John Paul's hat the same way.

Freedom to misspell and improperly construct sentences, too.
And no, you loon, you didn't. If you're a sock puppet, you've done it in a rather uninspired manner. If you're real, then you're just a deplorable excuse for a human being. Either way I come out ahead.
