Lizard babies? Why have I never heard of this show before? It sounds like it would be of interest to me just for the lizard babies. When does the new series come on?

That would be why. I was born in June of 1984. I guess it's also something they must not have shown in reruns like other shows that I do know.

The aliens were actually reptiles in perfect human disguises. There faces were shaped kind of like iguanas. They never really explained how the contours were perfected. lol It was SO bad! I loved it. Robin had sex with a "visitor" and got pregnant. This was before anyone knew what they really looked like. She tried to have an abortion and the baby almost killed her. She gave birth to twins. One looked like a baby, the other looked like the pic you saw above. GOOD STUFF!

I hope the new series can live up to that, although I'm having my doubts. I'll admit, it didn't look too interesting from the promos, but now I'm really curious.

I think the reimagining looks fantastic.

You can rent the original mini-series and series. The special effects were really bad. It's brilliantly campy. It's amazing to watch and see what we used to be impressed with.

Remember the col action figure that looked like a solider and you could pull off its face and it was a lizard? I loved that. I wish I still had mine.

ABC has really gone all out on the marketing campaign for this show. I was over on 8th or 9th Avenue the other day and there is an 8 to 10 story building that is basically one big billboard for the show and every commercial break on ABC has some sort of direct or indirect advertisement for it.

I am still baffled by the fact that they wanted us to believe that those iguana heads could be made to look human with just a layer of latex. I love that the lizard faces are bigger than the human masks they were supposed to be wearing.

I just turned it on. I don't know the characters, so I can't name them. But, it looks like they're doing a c-section on the girl pregnant with the lizard babies. Yay!

Yeah, I follow her on facebook, and saw that as well.

The aliens look like regular people, right? My mom thought they had melon heads or some marking to show that they were aliens. She thought the show wasn't cheesy, but she might be thinking of something else.
