re: 'V' on ABC

They just look like everyone else. They have weird techno voices, though. They always wear the red/orange suits.

Thanks! My mom must have this confused with something else then.

I think that birth scene was the best one I have ever witnessed in television or movies.

The few reviews I've seen so far have made it sound promising. Two more days!

Jersey, you should get your hands on the book "V-The Second Generation." I read it in a few days a couple weeks ago. It's not that well written, but it's fascinating to see where Kenneth Johnson wanted to take the story.

I watched V yesterday from 12:30pm until 11:00 pm---I need to get a life!

re: 'V' on ABC

This originally came out when I was just starting middle school--I wasn't allowed to see it because of the presumed horror and gore. I just saw it on the SF channel (I can't bring myself to call it "Syfy", it's asinine), and although some of the effects are laughable now (the rubber lizards, for example), it's still pretty damn scary. Watching Badler and Sarah Douglas (as Commander Pamela) trying to out-bitch each other is like watching two competing Alexis Carringtons.
I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

re: 'V' on ABC

I agree with an earlier poster---I'd love to see some cameos by original cast members!

Which is why I was OBSESSED. I LOVED it. We played it every day on the playground and I had to be Diana. It pretty much meant we chased each other around, but whatev.

re: 'V' on ABC

Okay, I was stuck in my house while a new floor was being installed, and Syfy played the original series again. I missed the end because they finished installing the floor, but i mustve watched 7 hours. I remember when the miniseries and weekly series came out, but I was not interested in the least.
Well, 25 years later, I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this craptastical series. I say that in the best possible way. It's always fun to see early 80s fashions, hairdos and makeup. How much blush did women go through back then?! Honestly, how comfortable was a side pony tail?!

I LOVED Badler and Chadwick...OMG! Chadwick was such a ringer for Bonnie Tyler I kept hearing "turn around, bright eyes" in my head. I loved how Badler's uniform made a V pointing to her V-gina.
The token black character was pretty lonely in LA until Sheryl Lee Ralph finally showed up...where were the other AAs? And the one asian character was so offensive they might as well have called him Fu Manchu.
I love when floppy disks were still floppy.

Now I want, of course, to see the original miniseries and final battle!

One question...what happened to Elizabeth's lizardy twin?
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

The twin died shortly after he was born. re: 'V' on ABC

re: 'V' on ABC

I only watched about 4 or 5 hours on Sunday. I'm bummed that I didn't know it was on before 6pm. But, I can't wait to watch tonight. If there is no lizard babies or the weird graphic stuff, I don't think I can watch.

re: 'V' on ABC

I'm just afraid that election night coverage is going to interupt the broadcast.
#96

re: 'V' on ABC

I hadn't thought of that. Does election coverage usually go into prime time when it's a non-presidential year? I assume there will probably be crawls on the screen. At any rate, I'm sure it will turn up online if there is some sort of snafu with tonight's airing.

re: 'V' on ABC

Wait though... wasn't there something on the series about the twin coming back? They had a "bad Elizabeth" for a while, which made no sense since they called the other twin a he.

It will be on ABC.com tomorrow.

Oh, you know, you might be right. I literally have not since an episode of the weekly series since they aired twenty years ago.
