re: 'V' on ABC

It's on Hulu and ABC.com. I am really starting to get into the show. Does anyone know if it has been picked up for a full season? I hate getting into shows that get canceled early on.

re: 'V' on ABC

I know ABC has ordered 13 episodes already, but don't they have a 4 season contract?
#178

re: 'V' on ABC

The four year contract is just on the actors' end. They are contracted to work as long as the show runs that long.

I am less than pleased with Anna. Maybe she's just not my type but Diana's bad girl hotness was a major draw for me. Of course, I didn't know that THEN.

re: 'V' on ABC

He is a cutie, but I was too busy drooling over shirtless Alan Tudyk and the cute actor playing his doctor. Give me some lizard lovin', baby! :P

Show is picking up. Very curious to see where it goes.

Am I the only person (and I haven't read this whole thread to see if anyone else thinks this) who thinks Anna has a twin?

re: 'V' on ABC

I'm still enjoying it.

Spoiler from last night's episode - When Anna talked to her daughter (!) who said, "I think he's the one," are we to infer that there's some interspecies breeding about to take place?

re: 'V' on ABC

I think so. Is it sick to say I hope so? lol

SPOILER

Everyone wants to see the childbirth scene - it was the best part of the last series!

re: 'V' on ABC

But it will be very different if the mother is a visitor! And if it is Anna's daughter, it looks like she may be a little sympathetic. Yay. Drama!

You're right! Endless possibilities -

re: 'V' on ABC

I hope that they use Kenneth Johnson's original idea for an interspecies child, in which you can see traits of both in it, instead of basically a human looking child who grew really fast and had all sorts of wonky powers.

It makes more sense to have the mother be a visitor if they are doing this sort of experiment. It seemed kind of bizarre in the original that they'd knock Robin up and let her go on her merry way.

re: 'V' on ABC

It would make sense for a child to be born, the visitors run experiments and the mother steal the child and run. At least, that's my little hope. Of course, it will probably get canceled before any of that happens.

"Only one more episode till it's off till March."

I know, I was thinking about this after last night's episode. What a major bummer! I am enjoying this version, and I'm really afraid that the long haitus will kill the show. What is ABC thinking?

re: 'V' on ABC

I know. I keep thinking that perhaps if the ratings stay up they'll keep it running and not put it on hiatus.

Question about last night's episode - When Anna pulled aside the widow who has speaking out against the visitors, do we think she pulled some sort of brainwashing thing, a la the original's conversion process?

I don't think so. I think they would have showed that to us rather than showing her rehearsing and trying to mimick human emotion.

re: 'V' on ABC

True, but she was rehearsing for what to say in her speech, right?

This show is gonna go to hiatus before we even see a full on lizard face!

re: 'V' on ABC

That will be a long time to wait. March seems so far away.
#196

re: 'V' on ABC

It didn't seem like they were going to use the brainwashing on her. But it's totally possible they will reveal that they did later. That's what happened in the original miniseries.

I'm sure they did something---she was so outspoken about the Vs. I'm sure being a lead-in for DWTS had helped, but who knows if it will continue...though if they cancel, I hope they resolve it! Does anyone know how the ratings have been for the last few episodes?

re: 'V' on ABC

They've dropped every week. Last night they had 8.9 million viewers.
#199

re: 'V' on ABC

They probably should have followed the original V and the Battlestar reboot's use of a miniseries to get all of the exposition and story rolling. Knock it out in an epic way and then they could roll out the series. Or, they should have knocked us dead in those first two episodes ala Lost.

But, if the Spring episodes are really good, hopefully, they will get back on track.

re: 'V' on ABC

8.9 million isn't bad, considering it's up against NCIS. I'm a huge NCIS fan, but it's available On Demand, so I watch V. I jsut don't want to wait until March (I'll have a little cheese with my whine...)
