WILL AND GRACE Returns!

So glad that Will & Grace made a sharp criticism/parody of religious gay ‘conversion’ camps and conservative religious beliefs towards gay people.
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

So glad they made a parody and criticism of the awful effect religious beliefs can have on attitudes towards gay people, gay conversion therapy etc.

my problem with this new season is that Debra Messing apparently has forgotten how to act in multi-camera format. she was always much more naturalistic than she has been these past six episodes, where she is now acting like a loon much of the time.

other than that i’m enjoying this season!

I hate to sound like Scrooge, but that Christmas episode was just awful. It seems, by the credits, they had alot of laughs making the episode. I wished I had the same watching it.

I understand what they were going for, but I don't think they were successful. OTOH, I would love to see a period piece about a gay man during this time.

I really liked the portrait of Debbie Reynolds on over the fireplace.

Again, tonight's episode was just awful. I got bored half way through it and changed the channel.

Last night's episode didn't rank among the best, but I laughed out loud a number of times and loved Nick Offerman. As a comparison, I watched Good News right after and despite loving Andrea Martin and John Michael Higgins, I thought it was painfully unfunny. Made me realize that an imperfect episode of Will and Grace is better than most sitcoms on network television.

I enjoyed it!

Did they never do a "bisexual man dates both Will and Grace" episode before? Interesting, since it seems such obvious material. The Fran Drescher "Happily Divorced" show did it with Charles Shaughnessy a few years ago.

Speaking of which, I'd love to see "The Nanny" revived next.

^ they did a bisexual man dates Will and Karen Walker episode before. Not date as much as have sex with. It was Karen's really hot baker.
Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

Say what you will about the reboot, but when they let Grace (Debra Messing) go into her "song/dance" as a wannabee Streisand or Broadway star...she really does crack me up....(shades of "Smash"!) and as long as she opens her mouth, like she did at the Golden Globes, I'm fine with her mouth and her "act"...

I actually laughed a few times last night, at least during the Will/Grace/Larry storyline. I thought the Karen/Jack/Val storyline was dumb. This was Debra Messing's best episode this season. Unfortunately, the ratings have taken a huge drop.

This week's episode was very, very funny! I agree that the stuff with Val wasn't very good, but otherwise it was a fantastic episode.

I imagine ratings were down because people didn't know the show returned! Honestly, I thought the show had gotten a 5 episode order for the fall and a Christmas special. The fact it came back in the New Year was a surprise-- but a welcome one!
