WTF at Popeye's Fried Chicken today?

So me and my friend go shopping at Lots for Less on West 40th st, and then to Popeye's next door for some scrumptiousness.

So there's a middle aged woman sitting there, PICKING the "crispy stuff" OFF the chicken pieces and discarding them in the trash can. Whaaat?

Isn't this sacrilege??

I can almost guarantee on some board somewhere, a thread was started by a woman who described that she was minding her own business at a Popeye's, loves their chicken but doesn't care for the crust cause it's too greasy and heavy and was taking it off like she always does and there was this other woman there who wouldn't stop staring at her and mumbling stuff to her friend as she did. Just wouldn't stop staring at her. WTF?

I always peel the crust and skin off fried chicken. I don't care for it. I prefer the meat.

Hey tiny3...there were coupons for Popeye's Chicken at the bottom of BW site. Did you notice? Rob must have read this thread and got Popeyes to advertise!! For the record, for me, the skin and crust are the best part.

Im kind of like that woman, idk why I don't like the crust, I just want.. chicken. Like grilled chicken, just fried, but no grease and fat covering my chicken..

Not the same. I understand this lady. the chicken inside of the fried chicken is usually tender and succulent when you take off the fried part. Grilled chicken is so dried out and hard to chew!

I have to try their Louisiana Style chicken to see how it differs from KFC and Popeye's regular chicken

I've been avoiding carbs. A LOT of sites recommend puling the crunchy skin off and just eating the meat inside- no carbs.

I can't do that cause I could NOT go to POPEYES without getting those FRIES
