Mike Myers as Dr Evil!!!!!!!!

I think it's been pretty great so far. Amy Adams just seems like a fun person.
I came in midway through the monologue because I was coming from work. I thought it was a good episode. The cat sketch at the end was even funny. And dare I say that I actually did like One Direction.
The Serial parody was seriously one of the funniest things they have EVER done on SNL. I would imagine it wasn't funny if you didn't listen, but as someone who obsessively listened to nine eps. to catch up to real time, that parody was seriously SPOT ON.
Marianne, I too was surprised to discover I actually liked their music.
I was cleaning my room while my boyfriend was watching it. I caught some of the skits and thought that Amy Adams was barely present. She disappeared behind the leads. I don't know if it was the writing, or the skits themselves, but I expected her to be better.

Historically, she is not a comedic powerhouse. Comedy is not her forte. She's said this a number of times.

Where did she say it? Just one example is fine. Thanks!

Amy might not have been super featured, but I loved that raccoon sketch. It was super weird, but all three ladies nailed the game.

Are we ever going to find out where Amy Adams has said comedy is not her forte?

She discusses it in an interview with Salon.com prior to her last appearance on SNL. If I am able to locate the archived article, I'll post it.
Amy Adams has done very well in comedies, from Enchanted to Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Also, her hair is perfect. Irrelevant to her comedic skills, but come on. It's like Disney princess hair.
I thought she was a great host and blended into the ensemble and took to the comedy in a way that many, many hosts are unable to do. That cat lady sketch was hilarious.
I sure enjoyed the entire show tonight! I have never said that before, lol.
It was a very strong show tonight indeed, even if the sketch I was in got cut. He was very game and I think did a marvelous job with anything that was handed him.
Got home to find my invitation to the Black Tie 40th Anniversary Gala on the 15th in the mail! I really wasn't expecting that. Have to go tux shopping.

The Wishing Boot was just incredible. I wasn't even going to watch tonight because I can't stand the Bro Country Music of today. And yet I laughed at every single thing. Maybe the love song to the dead wife sketch was a little too long but that's about it. The Hee Haw monologue was so great. Leslie Jones truly is the MVP of this cast.
And I don't even like country music but that first song was beautiful, I thought.

But the second one was just another one of those country list songs that they use to sell rap lyrics to audiences who say, "I like all music except rap."
Oh and we'll be wanting gala details, SNAFU.
I am with Jane2 here. Great show from start to finish.
Cannot wait for Whiplash's JK Simmons.
Weird, I'll have to check it out. Blake Shelton just never seemed that interesting to me, so it seemed like a potential dud.
Haterobics, I was the exact same way when I heard he was hosting but boy do I stand corrected. I hope they put the Kelly show on reactions to the SOTU address on the web as an extra. It was cut as cold opening for the Patriots Press conference. It was hysterical if for nothing else Kate's celebrating Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Seconding that in a Big way!
( not saying don't drink but try to stay sober enuff to remember all the "who did what to whom")
I am dying to know who the three musical guests are going to be. They haven't revealed the names but they have said it will be three "Very Heavy Hitters!"
