Happy Birthday, Anthony! I hoped your day was full of joy. (It's still 11:00 PM in Illinois.)

I saw Anthony today at Newark airport. He was getting off of the plane I was getting on. I didn't speak. lol
Aww, you shouldn't have been afraid to speak! :)
"Turning 35 is like Newark Airport..."
JerseyGirl, you should have just said "BroadwayWorld!"

Anthony, congrats to you and Rodney!
Hope you have a happy birthday!
So New Jersey haven't actually made it legal yet, have they?? Dammit......
There's a 180 waiting period for legislative (mostly semantic) desicions to be made.

If they decide on just civil unions, would that still count for couples outside the state?
I'm under the impression that the answer is yes, because my understanding is that that still wouldn't put into a place a law like there is in MA that says the unions aren't recognized out-of-state.
I'm not certain, though.
Em, you left "days" out after 180 in your post above.
Massachusetts already had that law in place, though. At least one of the people in the couple has to be a resident to get a marriage license from the state. If NJ went out of their way to add on that stipulation, civil rights groups would be up in arms.
I was wondering what 180 meant. I thought it was some crazy American bill passing term.
Yeah, you have to 180 bills when you're a real country not a commonwealth. :-P
