Well, at least we had the illusion that they were actual cookies.

DAMN YOU, SKITTLES! *cries in fetal position* My childhood, my childhood...

Ahem. Kidding, of course. Off Topic

Le sigh, I miss the real Cookie Monster! He's my little brother's favorite. Hah, imagine little kids talking about the Rice Cake Monster. Well, first, they'd probably be like, "...WTF?" but then maybe get used to it. Updated On: 2/15/06 at 08:00 PM

Hah. If they're going to do anything, they'll probably just slowly him of cookies. They probably think we're less likely to notice than if they turn into a Rice Cake Monster.

*sigh*

Hello all.

I'm happy and angry at the same time.

Happy:
~I saw The Color Purple today. It was really amazing. The entire cast was top notch and I recommend it to anyone.
~Before the show, we had brunch at Planet Hollywood, my friends and I wandered around NYC and we went to Herald Square. We shopped there and went to the Manhattan Mall.

Angry:
I have a bad headache. (Which, is nothing compared to whats next.)
Two boys behind me were LISTENING TO THEIR MUSIC LOUDLY during alot of Act 1. I gave them dirty looks. On top of that they were talking alot. I had a hard time focusing. They were yelled at because of the music, but still talked. So, right when Intermission started, I turned around and sternly gave them a piece of my mind. I just told them how inconsiderate it was to other theater goers, and to the actors on stage. They asked me who I was and I told them that it didn't matter. (They go to my school, but I have no idea who they are.) I was very annoyed. They moved somewhere and weren't in their seats for Act 2, which I loved, because I could actually not have to worry about being distracted.

But....The Color Purple was spectacular. That makes up for it. I was in the Rear Mezz and everyone gave a standing ovation (from what I could see). We got into the clapping...it was really great. (I prefer it more than the book....and the movie). Every single person in the cast was amazing. It wasn't like it was: "Oh, the ensemble was good." I mean, you could see how hard each of them worked, and it really payed off because it looked and sounded spectacular.

Ok, back to cookie monster.

My favourite was always Oscar, followed by Cookie Monster and Grover. For some reason I always liked the grumpy characters (ie. Oscar, Grumpy Bear, and the dwarf Grumpy).

Hee, Mandi, I did that during my sister's middle school musical. I mean, they had a song about a monster mashed potato! No way was I putting up with that.

Well...it was opera! I mean, I have some love for opera. The Barber on Seville was neat...but Pirates of Penzance was so. damn. boring.

I got Without You like an hour before my sisters middle school musical, I had to refrain from going to the back of the theater and reading.

Sort of off-topic, but my faith in my school has just been restored.

Our spring play is officially going to be Urinetown!

I'm sure it would be interesting if it wasn't opera and I knew what was going on. At The Barber of Seville we had subtitles. Off Topic

Isn't The Pirates of Penzance in English?

Mandi - I think it's funny that your teachers fell asleep. Mostly because teachers are always talking about how you shouldn't fall asleep during things.

I've never been to an opera, so I can't really comment on them. But there's been a few one-man shows that I've *almost* dozed off during.

Bleh operas. From 7th grade on our choir teacher took us to one a year. It was a great nap every time! The last two years I skipped it because I would rather be in school!
